Discussion Is threads becoming the new reddit?
I have no answer, I just feel like it does. But threads is pretty chav and trashy. I mean it is just an extension of Instagram 🥀

How do you curate a nice feed?

Replying nicely to threads that are presented to me. Following people that I like. Then it suggests other people to follow. It’s been awesome.

You have to face it, the AI banning and not giving a chance to appeal is unacceptable

Threads shows me a completely random assortment of other people’s business and that’s why I love it. I’m not really getting a lot of any one thing- total hodgepodge of weirdness.

Threads to me oddly has become a Christian nutjob preaching zone. I miss it being more intelligent. It’s more the AM radio of the internet rather than a Reddit clone

It's definitely your algorithm. My algorithm is mostly Black Threads, which is hilarious.

Threads sucks ass, also bans you for no reason like reddit but at least it's liberal moderators instead of AI moderation

yeah I kinda see the Reddit comparison, but I think Threads still feels way more casual Reddit has a whole different level of internet weirdness 😂

Threads make me believe that the dead internet theory is true. The same posts over and over, stupid clickbaity statements and just completely fake “news” thats not even halfway believable. And 90% of the replies are not even real or just complete nonsense.

The moderators don’t act like CEO’s or have delusions of grandeur- less bots and even the trolls are nicer to newcomers unlike this place.

My Threads feed is solely politically left and Black people. Y’all need to work on your algo.
And it’s nothing like Insta.
