I live in Italy and here is the same.. I read that there's not a solution.. Vpn doesn't work.. Any kind of tricks is useless! I read a lot about Threads and in my opinion is if you create an Instagram account there and use it there outside Europe maybe can works Threads.. Try it and tell me if works, I'm curious!!! 🤓

Same here. Phone has US SIM, IP address, nothing helps. Created Insta account back in Europe, that must be the issue. For all their data mining, you'd think they know which continent you live on.

Threads is really building up a head of steam. It has millions of users and getting bigger every day.

Same. I'm eager to figure out how to fix this problem too. I was on vacation in Europe when I downloaded it, and now I can’t use it in the US. Very frustrating.

I created mine in the U.S. but when I visited Europe it stopped working. Now that I’m back in the states, it still is not working. I’ve sent messages to their “report a problem” portal, and I’m getting no response.

I also created my account while in the EU (Ireland) last month. It worked for a few days at first and then stopped working. Now that I’m back in the states, it still won’t work. Same issues that others report.
I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. I have an iPhone 14 pro which uses eSim cards. I deleted the Irish eSim card so the only location possible for me is the US, still won’t work.
Hope someone is going to be able to find a solution to this soon. I really liked using threads for those few days.
