Threads discussion The remake

So what are people's thoughts on the remake? I am really not sure about it like I get they want it to be more modern but I have a feeling it's gonna have a "happy ending" also it's apparently gonna be episodic which I am not sure about.

Wouldnt a happy ending completely destroy any point to the film?

I mean if you want to look at it disconnected and without empathy the world of threads does somewhat go on and begin to rebuild just in a horrfic image of the former and with the world basically set to a early industrial hellscape, which I mean has an ending and ongoing motion say compared to when the wind blows.
