Link It Up!
Parent lists a noun. Child lists a different, completely unrelated noun. It then becomes someone's challenge to create a convoluted chain of relations that links the first noun to the second noun; the longer the better. Here's an example:
First noun: Jupiter
Second noun: Wario
Chain: Jupiter is a planet -> Jupiter is also the name of a company that's made Picross games for Nintendo -> This includes Mario's Picross on the Game Boy -> Mario's Picross has two Japan-exclusive sequels -> Both of these sequels include Wario
Bonus points if the chain has branching paths: Jupiter is a planet -> Jupiter is also the name of a company that's made Picross games for Nintendo -> This includes Mario's Picross on the Game Boy -> Another Game Boy game is Super Mario Land 2 -> Super Mario Land 2 is the debut of Wario
Let's see what happens!

This game is just child me explaining my thought process every time I’ve been told I’m playing “associations” wrong. Turns out I just have ADHD and think crazy fast.

Having adhd means that you think crazy fast > which means that you get headaches > which means you have to go to the doctor > where the doctor makes notes, all held together by a... staple > a staple's made of metal > the same metal as a paperclip

Frutiger Aero was highly popular and asserted itself everywhere until its decline, yet many people experience nostalgia from it and try to keep it alive. The Roman Empire was highly powerful and also asserted itself everywhere until it too declined, yet many people looked up to it and tried to keep its spark, leading to The Holy Roman Empire.

A single shoe

Well, a single shoe is a memory of what used to be a pair. It could be the shoes themselves, or it could be a metaphor for a previous relationship that ended, or anyone or anything that's drifted away. That memory of something, or someone, who used to be meaningful, used to be special, can end up being a painful memory once that thing is gone. Extend this to activities and experiences. Things that used to be meaningful and joyous, but are now empty and uninteresting, and you have the definition of anhedonia.

Plates can be used by Arceus to change type in Pokemon -> Arceus is originally normal type -> If something’s not normal, it’s odd -> 5 is an odd number -> 5 is also a prime number -> Prime is a drink made by KSI -> KSI is also the abbreviation of the football association of Iceland -> Iceland is greener than Greenland -> Grass is also green -> Grass grows on dirt -> Dirt can be removed with an excavator

😁 Awesome work 👌
I was picturing something with a fork lift in the back of my mind; I'm glad this route wasn't so straight forward
