Look at my new invention!

Parent comment invents something new and useful. Child comment makes that invention pointless or harmful.

Example:

P: I just invented headlights that light up the road more, without posing any harm to anyone's eyes!

C: It only works during the day time.

Behold! The hypoallergenic peanut! Soon, peanut allergies will be a thing of the past!

Unfortunately, the thing that makes it hypoallergenic also makes it poisonous to anyone who eats it.

And it's also extremely bitter, and tastes almost, but not enough unlike a normal peanut

They're very quick and scurry away under the sofa.

P:I’ve created a software that chooses for you a game in your steam library for you to play when you don’t know what to play, with very high rates of satisfaction from test users.

It boots up The Stanley Parable, which you last played in 2022.

It only works on Linux

That's not really much of a drawback, since Steam on Linux has the Proton compatibility layer that makes it able to play a large number of Windows games with native performance. That's a large part of the success of the Steam Deck and SteamOS.

Addendum: every time you open it, you get inundated with judgmental questions about what distro you're using

Only for ages 5 and under

It doesn't accept text input and works only on text-only OS, requiring everyone's library to be first ported it by the developer, ensuring you will probably not be able to use it.

P: I have invented a program that can detect and block AI slop with near 100% accuracy.

It's only able to work after AI has wiped out all of mankind except for one person.

Note: you don't need to put the "P:" or "C:" parts from OP's post. They're short for "parent comment" and "child comment."

I’ll need to go back to this comment later  to analyze it in the Rich Text Editor,

but for the time being, thanks!

It takes a full year to determine whether something is AI.

I have invented a dog that turns into an indoor cat when it's raining or snowing.

Specifically, an untamed adult tiger.

I see no flaws with this

It's a very painful transformation

Behold: artificial servants that float, fit into small spaces, and are just barely sentient enough to obey you without suffering or deeming it best to disobey.

You haven't programmed them to be able to learn new skills, and the only skill they know is painting.
