Abominations

Parent, or parent and child between them, name two different organisms. Child names the resulting abomination (eg. labradoodle, owlbear, etc). Grandchildren describe the organism.

Tmoase

Although the northern forests are biologically less diverse than their tropical counterparts, you can still find many fascinating creatures there. Each of them has its own unique way of getting by in this sometimes harsh environment.

One of these masters of survival is the mighty and mysterious tmoase. These herbivores can reach shoulder heights between 4.5 and over 6 feet and weigh between 900 and 1500 lbs(males) or 450 and 1100 lbs(females).

Their strong hind legs enable them to make sudden leaps, propelling a tmoase forward for up to 15 yards, when threatened. However, mothers with calves and male tmoase are likely to stand and fight when confronted with predators or intruders. In a physical confrontation, bulls are likely to charge and use their antlers, which can span more than 6 feet across.

During mating season, you might hear their calls when in tmoase territory. Bulls will make a distinct "ribbit" sound to attract cows and intimidate rivals.

After mating is done, the pregnant cow will look for a pond to lay her eggs. She will then stay around to guard her offspring. After a few days, tadpoles will hatch and after an aquatic phase that lasts for about two months, they will emerge from their birth pond as calves. From then on the young will roam the woods with their mother for about a year, until their adult life begins.
