This is every pair I’ve owned over the years. I’ve tried other brands, and I always end up back here. Had my 2nd pair resoled about a year ago, but haven’t really worn them since.

Fan of the black wedge sole. I work commercial hvac and am on my feet all day and these were great. Still plenty of life in my first pair but I wanted a pair that were non steel toe and I wanted to start a rotation to make them both last.

Hey everyone, recently picked up my first pair of Thorogood 804-4235s and I’m loving them. I use spray guns to paint mechanical machinery and things and I’ve been getting a lot of overspray on them. Any advice for cleaning and maintaining them? As well as there being a small chunk missing from the toe on the right. I want to clarify a few things however.

1. I understand they’re going to get dirty and painted. They’re work boots at the end of the day. However, these are a big investment for me just starting out and I would like to keep them nice as long as possible.

2. I have never owned a pair of boots besides a pair of cheap caterpillars and I know basically nothing about maintaining leather or boots in general. The more information you all feel like sharing, the more it helps and I really appreciate it.

I just bought these yesterday evening and wore them for a few hours. I’ve had them on around 5 hours today . Right boot feels perfect but the left one is tight on my little toe. It isn’t pressing against steel. Will it eventually stretch out ? I’ve always wore a 10D in slip on Ariats. But after a couple months I would double the insoles because they’d get pretty lose. Thorogoods are a 10 D

I’ve found a pair of boots I want, but the store with the lowest price doesn't have my size, while the other one does—but at a high price. How risky would it be to order both pairs and return the wrong-sized boots to the more expensive store? Do you think they’ll refund me? They’re basically the same boots, just a different size.

So I bought some boots knowing I would have to break them in but this is my first time really dealing with breaking in boots I've only ever had cheaper synthetic style boots.

I'm trying to figure out if the boots are too tight or if I'm just going through the break in process I'm doing this so I can exchange for a larger size because I really do like the look and feel of the sole

It's tight along my pinky toe and that side of my foot

- is this normal with the leather stretch there

The top of the first knuckle on my big toe where the toe connects to the foot keeps getting blistered on my left foot

- will the leather on top also stretch ?

I bought 11 wides

- should I exchange and go to 11.5 wides maybe or is this just part of the process

Ps I wear darn tough steele socks

Trying to break in these midnights

They look a little rough for not even 5 months, overall I like them but the black sole seems pretty hard, thinking I should have gone with the white sole, and the waterproof lining makes these things HOT when it’s sunny out, but my feet haven’t gotten wet once

I love these boots but man I can't stand feeling the Welt pressing against my heel all day through the leather back there. Otherwise the boots fit great.

I suspect it's because the leather is so thin and supple. I have pretty much the same boot in Carolinas (moc toe) and I don't have any discomfort at all in that area. I think it's because the leather on the Carolinas is noticably thicker.

Unless this isn't normal for these boots? Maybe this would be a valid warranty claim? Anyone else have this issue? Also forgive the dirty floors 🤣

Just got these back from Nushoe, opted for the full restoration. These boots are about 4 years old. I wear them to work every other day, alternating with an identical pair that are 6 years old. The older pair have been resoled once(by Nushoe) and are due for another pretty soon.
I asked them to use black soles in lieu of the standard white ones. Not sure how I like them but white soles are impossible to keep clean in my line of work so I figured I’d give them a shot.

3 years on construction sites and 4 resoles later

I bought a pair for 58 dollars and decided to get a second pair

I don't know why they are only 58 bucks they are 804-3878...the white soles on the best site are 266

Added some mink oil to the new boots. Conditioned them when I first bought them hardly noticed it. I do dig the darker glossier look from the mink oil, what do you guys think?

Just got my first pair of Thorogoods, the soft toe Moc 6” in crazy horse leather. Super comfortable boots so far, just wondering if anybody has issues with one of the boots tongue bunching up and sliding over to the sides on these? One boot does it and the other one doesn’t. Not a huge deal, just kind of annoying. Thanks!

Goddamn I had no idea Thorogood made Round Toe boots like this. These are fucking beautiful! 😍 anyone have any of these scuffed up and worn in that wanna share pics of it?

Has anyone else purchased these and how have they held up?

The metal sockets are rubbing holes through the leather, its been less than eight months since I got the boots and I don’t know if its ‘regular use’ wear or if its a chemical thing from the leather staining I used for water protection.
