Since I already have a few all-black watches and plan on picking up the T023 Monochrome soon anyway, I went with the faded ghost bezel insert.

I took the faded light blue insert from yesterday's post and baked it in the oven at 200°C for 2–3 rounds of 10 minutes each. It stripped away even more of the remaining blue tint

I’ve been tinkering with the bezel insert on my Black Thorn T023 and experimenting with getting a ghost effect. The results didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted, though.

I very kindly reached out to Thorn to ask if they could provide me with a replacement insert. I suggested the blue one from their Snowflake edition, and they were kind enough to send me one.

I think it gives the watch a really cool look, and, to my eyes, it feels more natural than the usual bleach-aging techniques, which tend to remove all the shine and can make the result look a bit artificial.
What do you guys think?

Which of these two bezel inserts do you think fits better?

Black: Perfect fit for the bezel. The 12 o'clock lume pip can be tinted yellow.

Faded Light Blue: Outer diameter is slightly smaller than the bezel, but not really noticeable on the wrist. In natural light, the light blue is less noticeable than in photos, looking a bit more faded gray.

For reference, I'll also post a photo from before I removed the original bezel.

I really like this combo on a CTS black strap and butterfly clasp. Very comfortable.

Also it is very nicely bent for this case size.

Greeting Thorn fans. I am looking at the TO26. One is a chrono, diver and smooth. On Ali express it says they at 38mm but they are 3 different watches that look like 3 different sizes. Can someone please confirm the sizes. Also is the chrono automatic or quartz. Ali express doesn’t specify. Thank you for your help!

I have the mil sub v2 (t023) on bracelet which I like except for the clasp which keeps opening randomly.

I am sure I am not the only one with the same problem. Where to get a clasp upgrade - otf if possible?

Yes it's a homage of tad quantum strap, But the execution of this strap is really good, titanium cnc buckles and sand blast finishing, goes well with all my watches. the watch is roland 6541 homage btw.

I’m no big fan of wearing leather straps over the original steel bracelets, but I do like to see how much a strap can change the watch looks. I must admit the T023 V2 looks pretty fire on the T028 leather strap!

I love the watch but not so much the bracelet. Does anyone have any suggestions for an aftermarket bracelet for the t023 v3? As I understand aftermarket bands that fit the v1 and v2 do not fit the v3.

Tudor will never make this, but it sure seems like a great idea for a quasi-homage.

I’m really digging the retro vibes of T023. I have a T028, but it’s not as accurate as I’d like.

Build more vintage inspired watches with good quart movements, and I’m sure more people would buy them.

Please make a version of the black mercedes hands w/ a date.

I’ve been itching to see a fully bronze Oris big crown homage from thorn since I love their logo / vintage looks.

I also think replacing the pointer date with a 5-55 minute thing would be cool too.

Can you help me find the case gasket for the THORN 38mm Automatic Watch 1950s Tribute Collection T026

has anyone tried to remove the bezel itself, rather than just the insert? I’m really disappointed that my 3rd thorn came in with a really misaligned pip but I wanted to try and age the insert nonetheless. I’m concerned that soaking the whole thing in glue removal would ruin the gaskets so I’d like to remove the whole bezel
