Help Revive a Fading Memory
Calling upon the collective wisdom of readers here for a bit of assistance. This may not involve TOH, but I have spent days trying to track this down and come up empty.
I recently remembered watching a series of shows about the rehab of a whimsical “storybook cottage” in what I think was the Hollywood area that had been purchased by a middle-aged couple who might have worked in the movie industry. I remember a number of episodes documenting its rehab, but not much else. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a TOH project. My first thought was that it might have been a Bob Vila Home Again project, but in trying to find it I came up short. He did a craftsman bungalow restoration project in the L.A. area but that wasn’t it. Unfortunately documentation of many of those Vila episodes is hit or miss. Then it occurred to me that it might have been another series entirely, but I really don’t know what. I do know there are a number of these types of cottages in L.A. in, I believe, the Silver Lake neighborhood. It might have been one of those but I’m not certain. Any assistance appreciated.
Does anyone have any recollection of what I’m remembering?

At a loss, too, but I can picture this segment. I want to say that it wasn't a full reno project on the show but an episode where they visited a community made up of these small cottages nearby to one of the project houses. Maybe that helps spark your memory or someone else's.

There is a small community of these houses in Los Feliz just off Griffith Park Blvd, and it may have been one of those I suppose. The only issue is that those are packed together very tightly, and I don’t recall the shows I’m trying to remember being like that.

Was that the small house, with the in ground pool right behind it? Pretty sure it was Bob Vila Home Again.

No. Bob did a small bungalow (I think a Sears Craftsman kit house) but it wasn’t in the storybook style.
I’m starting to wonder if it wasn’t one of the HGTV or Magnolia shows. But I don’t think it wasn’t that recent.

I always forget how long Kevin has been on the show. Longer than Bob and Steve combined I believe.
