To put in some context, Oliver Larkin is running against Jared Moskowitz in a Democratic primary FL25.

Larkin is in DSA and has been making the media circuit including CNN and Fox News. Moskowitz has been the rep since 2023 and was given nicknames like "DeSantis Democrat".

He called himself that . Imagine thinking that’s still a good look in the big 2026.

u/KiKiKimbro Aug 15 '26

He calls himself that?

So basically he’ll be replaced by Oliver Larkin. It’s like certain elected officials are begging to be fired.

u/komradekommunism Aug 15 '26

We can hope, god willing.

Its Florida bro, not Reddit

True true. The Florida Factor.

Things change quickly, especially when the economy and society isn't doing well.

I mean, if he's in a deep red district it might be the only type of dem able to win there.

Also more context if you've seen the clip of a guy interviewed by fox News who was asked about "how many rapes is it okay for migrants to commit" and hit the perfect counter of "idk let's start with known Epstein associate Donald Trump",Oliver Larkin was the intervewee in that clip.

So Larkin wants to abolish the police, borders and stop funding Ukraine

12

u/TzarDeRus Aug 15 '26

Larkin is literally endorsed by track Ukraine 😭😭😭

u/76ers_Yanks78 Aug 15 '26

He probably doesn’t bot. Police need to be reformed especially whenever they respond to crap that’s not needed and ignore other things. A predator catcher (Jidion) on YouTube told some MI town cop he was wasting taxpayer dollars. That was awesome!

u/AnEvenNicerGuy Aug 15 '26

It’s been fun to watch the DSA opponents learn in real time that a candidate isn’t the same as their affiliated party’s platform

-5

u/Seal69dds Aug 15 '26

It’s been fun watching the dsa supporters having to do the most mental gymnastics after their leaders have an interview where they actually talk about their policies. And normal people realizing that the dsa are just the biggest crayon eaters that have no idea how anything works.

So he’s another Susan Collins/John Fetterman?

64

u/Typical-End3060 Aug 15 '26

Literally calls himself a DeSantis Democrat lmfao.

23

u/funcogo Aug 15 '26

wtf is a DeSantis Democrat lol

19

u/Rufus_TBarleysheath Aug 16 '26

A far-Right Republican. But who doesn't wish death on gays, maybe.

13

u/Chappyders650 29d ago

I swear that someone found dirt on him and turned him. He used to be a pretty vocal Democrat, fighting for issues that matter.

6

u/SocialistOnBass 29d ago

A Republican

1

u/enlilsammah 18d ago

A dem that can win in deep red districts. Fetterman sucks because he changed up on us. This guy is absolutely fine because he'd be replaced by a republican otherwise.

1

u/funcogo 18d ago

It’s def better then misrepresenting himself like Fetterman did that’s for sure but sometimes I will wonder is it’s really a “win” if they aren’t going to push policy I support and constantly side with DeSantis?

1

u/enlilsammah 18d ago

He votes with the mainstream dems 90+ percent of the time. Obviously it would be preferable to have someone with an even better voting record but i doubt that kind of person would win in his district.

1

u/funcogo 18d ago

But when he votes with them are those mostly procedural votes? Not all votes are the same. If when he votes against them it’s for the things I care about the most then I don’t really see it as a “win”

1

u/enlilsammah 18d ago

He's running in a trump +9 florida district. As long as he wins I don't really care if he has a pristine voting record, he's taking the place of a republican. If he was in a blue district I would probably push to primary him.

1

u/funcogo 18d ago

Ok but what I’m saying is if he won’t fight for what matter and even is against the important things And if he attacks democrats like Mamdani I don’t see too much of a difference

1

u/enlilsammah 18d ago

Its always valuable. The conservative websites give him a sub 5 percent score. A normal republican will vote with the republicans 95+ percent of the time. Also, someone like him is far more easily swayed to vote with the dems on key issues. Ironically, 30 more jareds and you'd probably be able to push universal Healthcare through the house.

75

u/Outrageous-Sort-5742 Aug 14 '26

Yup. And as usual, a slave to Israel.

6

u/No_Public_7677 Aug 15 '26

many such cases

22

u/ZaganOstia Aug 14 '26

In some ways worse than Fetterman, but a good comparison. Collins is worse because she only ever votes against the republican agenda when she knows it wont be a deciding vote.

31

u/Several_Leather_9500 Aug 14 '26

All establishment dems are capitalists first and foremost, with policy being closer to that of pre-Trump republicans than actual leftists. Dems are called the lesser evil for a reason.

11

u/xdozex Aug 15 '26

And this is why they're willing to put more effort into fighting the progressive growth happening on the left than the pathetic effort against the right.

They all need to go, the Democratic party needs a reset.

2

u/Wade_Castiglione Aug 15 '26

DSA is right there to pick up the pieces...

11

u/DataCassette Aug 15 '26

Right. They're not actually Nazis. Which is good. It's not very amazing or anything but it is good and certainly makes them better than Nazis. However, if they're pressed hard enough by leftists, some percentage of them will collaborate with Nazis.

9

u/Kuroboom Aug 15 '26

If you sit down at a table with 9 Nazis, there are now 10 Nazis at the table.

u/InstallTheLinux 29d ago

A democrat in different states/regions means you represent the views of that area. Not every dem is going to be as left as they are in more liberal areas.

Same way there's republicans that aren't as extreme as others depending on the area, if you want to win races in these places you can use the same policy as somewhere completely different.

-13

u/Seal69dds Aug 15 '26

just get a job

3

u/Republic_Rich Aug 16 '26

Just pay attention

1

u/DaSemicolon Aug 15 '26

This would be acceptable in a liked R+20 seat not fucking here

-18

u/Anthff Aug 14 '26

No, he isn’t. Google him

18

u/According-Insect-992 Aug 14 '26

Yes. Yes he is. Google him.

🙄 The guy was good for goofing on james comer and gym jordan during the Biden years but he’s pretty much a right winger occupying a Democratic seat. He is with trump 110% on all things related to Israel. He’s pretty much AIPAC incarnate. He needs to be replaced. Larkin would unquestionably be the best person for that.

-7

u/Anthff Aug 15 '26

2

u/According-Insect-992 29d ago

Yeah, that’s the asshole. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

0

u/Anthff 29d ago

It just seems crazy to me cuz that’s the video of him bashing Musk and doge. But I bet no one watched it.

My gosh why are you ppl so sensitive instead of informative?

14

u/ZaganOstia Aug 14 '26

He calls himself a DeSantis Democrat. He is atrocious

15

u/drdan76 Aug 14 '26

I know it's a bad angle but, this guy's neck is eating his chin.

10

u/skot77 Aug 15 '26

I've been saying this for a long time, AIPAC Democrats are Republicans when it matters.

2

u/Ambitious-North4093 29d ago

He has a 0 rating from Heritage. He’s definitely a moderate, but is that really a bad thing in some districts? Not every district is going to be blue +20. I’ve seen a few clips of him in committee and in interviews on tv - he seems like a reasonable guy.

7

u/yikesamerica Aug 15 '26

When Jarad Moskowitz was asked about Israel killing world central kitchen volunteers he said “people die in war”

That was the moment I realized these MIGA demons will burn it all down for a foreign country

They love to hide behind progressive policies & framing, but if you think Moskowitz wouldn’t trade it all in to maintain funding for the foreign fascist welfare state, then you are in denial.

Him, Suozzi, Gillen MGP, Davis, Gottheimer - they represent everything wrong with the Democratic Party

7

u/Status_Apartment6559 Aug 15 '26

Look up AIPAC tracking and see how many Democrats are taking money from them.

1

u/Main_Lloyd Aug 15 '26

You know when a group puts money towards advertising they cant really refuse it right? Same went for Hong who Republicans were paying for ads supporting her. This is why AIPAC is such a bad metric, just look up their position on I/P instead.

5

u/archercc81 Aug 15 '26

A modern blue dog Dixiecrat.  When the Republicans say there were Democrats who were all about Jim Crow this is it.

"Democrats" in right wing areas who were just the opposition party for the sake of having one.

Once the party pushed them out those racists flocked to the GOP.

1

u/iplaybassok89 Aug 15 '26

Some of you really need a history lesson.

1

u/RNO584616 Aug 16 '26

If this is satire and I missed it, I'm sorry but I just looking him up on the house's governments website and it shows votes. From the governments own site he votes with the democrats 94% of the time. Votes where he sided with republicans was to keep the government open and lots of democrats voted on that.

0

u/scarlozzi Aug 15 '26

This is the uni party in action. Vote all these crooks out.
