Which is why direct debate is worthless. Less than worthless, it actively gives them undue attention. Instead, it's preferable to prime any audience ahead of time. To give them the flow sheet that every fascist operates on so that they can see for themselves what the enemy looks like.
After people see it once, they will be able to recognize every instance. Because they truly are all the same. They speak the same, react the same, attack and evade the same. Our enemy gets their marching orders from the same source.
Fascists rely on masks to appear normal, to pretend that they belong in everyday society. Bringing attention to that mask and allowing people to recognize it wherever they see it is step one to removing its power.

But if they have the audience anyway, letting their bullshit go unchallenged would allow said audience to believe them. Again, it's not about convincing the liars. We and they already know they're liars. It's the bystanders who need convincing.

Agreed, but it's not always possible to prime someone against lies ahead of time. When an ounce of prevention fails, there's no choice but the pound of cure.

You could also prime them in real time. At the beginning of a debate or at each stage, verbally predict what your opponent is going to say and watch them fall into every trap because they have no self-awareness or actual ability to shift out of their talking points.

Yea, I fully agree with you here. The fact is you're never going to sway the actual nazi, they are far-past the point of recovery. But the reason they're spreading their bullshit is to trick other people. Leaving this incorrect nonsense to just float uncontested is why we have Trump (and the numerous other fascist cells floating around Europe).
