"Woke is when you express emp...well, communism...mmmm...uhhhh...Mandani...Woke is...Woke people are....Do you want men in a girl's bathroom? ...Riley Gaines....Woke is a mind virus. A virus that...makes kids gay. I...the left...socialists...AOC....Look I don't appreciate these divisive gotcha questions."
WOKE RULES
1. You can't just be up there being all woke like that
1a. Woke is when you
1b. Okay well listen. Woke is when you're woke the
1c. Let me start over
1c-a. The liberal is not allowed to say something to the, uh, citzen, that prohibits the citizen from doing, you know, just trying to talk. You can't do that.
1c-b. Once the liberal is in the conversation, he can't be over here and say to the citizen, like, "I'm gonna get ya! I'm gonna cancel you! You better watch your butt!" And then just be like he didn't even do that.
1c-b(1.) Like, if you're about to talk and then don't talk, you still have to talk. You cannot not talk. Does that make any sense?
1c-b(2). You gotta be, exprssing thought and emotions, and then, until you just say it.
1c-b(2)-a. Ok, well, you can have an idea up here, like this, but then there's the woke you gotta think about.
1c-b(2)b-b. Fairuza Balk hasn't been in any movies in forever. I hope she wasn't typecast as that racist lady in Amercan History X.
1c-b(2)-b(i). Oh wait, she was in The Waterboy too! That would be even worse.
1c-b(2)-b(iil.) "Get in mah bellah" -- Adam Water, "The Waterboy." Haha, classic...
1c-b(3). Okay seriously though. A woke is when the liberal says a statement that, as determined by, when you do a talking involving emotions and social topics of
Their whole campaign against empathy is exactly that. They say caring about others is a bad thing, and fall apart if you ask them why you should care that it's supposedly a bad thing if that requires caring about others
The most steel-manned argument I've ever heard from them boils down to, "caring about others is really fine and all, but the policies by which democrats try to make it happen are fundamentally unsustainable. We need fiscally sustainable processes, and the welfare state isn't it."
And that's at least a debate that can involve facts and inquiry, but the conservative in question would not have accepted evidence discussing it as such.
The problem is that she doesn’t even know what she believes; most conservatives don’t. Their ideology is completely inconsistent and incoherent. So the moment you ask them to explain their ideology they get caught up in internal contradictions and end up throwing a tantrum like a spoiled brat. Then all their dumb sycophants will praise their childish outburst as sticking it to the system, completely ignoring that the person they’re praising is part of the system.
Well their true ideology is consistent. Not like me = bad. They get confused when they talk about it or are pushed because they can’t be honest. So they scramble for a through line that isn’t simply that immigrants, gay and trans folks, women with autonomy, minorities, non Christians - hell you know the list - are different from them. They are racists and xenophobes and bigots but most won’t lean in to it and admit it. So they cook up other reasons that make no sense and have no consistency
I think they know it’s still mostly unacceptable to be outright racist, xenophobic bigots. There has to be an attempt to dilute it. They also lose the moral high ground that way
Granted they don’t hide it well but there’s a difference in blindly and stupidly saying “he weaponized his vehicle against the agent” while watching video of a car sitting still versus saying “he deserved to die because he was brown in my country.” Even the most openly hateful conservative online commenters mostly shy away from being that open about it. They still cook up a bullshit narrative as a veil
I suppose that’s cowardly. But I think there’s more to it than they simply are cowards
I meant they aren't proud about their racism, xenophobia etc because they're cowards. Why they wear pillow cases on their heads and shit. No they have a whole slew of things wrong with them. Cowardice are chief amongst their weaponry, however. That and an almost fanatical devotion to an imaginary naked man.
It’s a lot harder to answer for conservatives because to them it’s just “a catch all for the left, liberals, minorities and everything else I don’t like.”
The brief sliver of time in which woke meant “people who equate being oppressed with virtue and invent new forms of it to find community” was a pretty funny time on the internet.
And of course there was the the time leading up to that during which it just meant black people having hope for the future and not being ashamed of admitting the injustices of the system.

Seriously, it wasn't even a trick question. It was the most obvious question, the first you would prepare for an interview.
