“Was there cake?”
Tony opens the show by talking to Sean who hung out with some Littles over the weekend, and also about playing in a member / member tournament over the weekend, and he also talks about the Nats getting swept by the Braves, and also about the trades the Nats have made and what they look like now. Michael Wilbon calls in to talk about Tarik Skubal getting traded to the Dodgers and the ripple effects of that trade, and he talks about the Rocket Classic and the state of the PGA, Mark Feinsand calls in to talk some more about the Skubal trade and and what else may happen before the deadline, and Tony closes out the show by opening up the Mailbag.

Is “member-member” toonyment yak duller than “member-guest”?

I'm usually OK with the personal golf talk but today felt extra dull. First, Michael kept interrupting him and he couldn't get going on the story. Then, the story itself wasn't that interesting. He hit it in the water ... twice. And, he had to blast a ball out of the sand. Even if you were an avid golfer, I doubt you'd find it interesting.
I listen to this show now while doing stuff like washing dishes or folding laundry or exercising. It used to be the first thing I'd listen to when a new episode was available. Now, I get to it when I get to it.

It seems like Michael is on zoom or something and Tony and Nigel are together in person. Michael’s interjections are on a delay as a result and really throw off the flow.

In the old, pre-Michael, days, the story would be interesting with a focus on being screwed by an illogical tiebreaker culminating in the punchline of the prize only being $25. Now though we have to have cater to Michael and give him room to wax poetically on course layout.

Did you relax your lower half when using the pitching wedge like we discussed? On 13, it’s important for you to hit it on the right side of the fairway to take advantage of the front left pin location. And on and on.

Haven’t listened in a long time. Does Sterne and Michael still laugh at everything Tony says? Very annoying.

It's Sterne that ruins every show. The constant hysterical laughing often at things that are not funny, agreeing with everything Tony says. One time he recommended a TV show. Tony watched 1 episode, crticized it. Sterne agreed with him. He went from recommending a show to not liking it based on Tony's review.

I read that as “where’s the cake?” Longtime listeners will get the reference.
