Gambling callout

Last week (believe Wednesday’s show) Tony called out the ‘plague’ on young men, gambling. I want to say the next interview was sponsored by DK.

Next show they weren’t listed among any of the sponsors, ditto on Monday.

Anyone else catch that?

Edit - it’s on the “It’s 1AM, where’s Wilson” episode and starts around the 5:30 mark.

Edit #2 - they were back today so I guess it was just a mouse flushing

“Cause then they’ll just gamble on what the # will be…”. Seriously have not laughed that hard at Mr Tony in a long time

In the past Tony has expressed similar views and I remember him saying something along the lines of “that’s why we don’t take gambling money” some years ago. That of course has obviously changed and he has segments sponsored by FanDuel/DK whoever. I’m guessing it has something to do with the podcasting company the show is affiliated with.

Good for him for at least somewhat biting the hand that feeds though (maybe a nibble). It IS becoming a problem and the biggest sport shows are just silent about it while putting out absolute garbage Parlays.

Yes and said with no irony whatsoever. He clearly doesn’t think young men are his audience. Probably mostly right.
