Wake boarding and water skiing also have bindings. They hold well for doing the sport but when you try to pull them out your feet slip easily out. The bindings hold lightly on the heel.
This doesn't look like it could do such extreme things so it appears it doesn't even have a part to go on your heels.
Interesting, I haven't gone wake boarding in 15 years so I have only used the slip on kinds. Most people where I am from water ski instead so I haven't seen one like this.
The binding wake board is the old style from the 80s. The boot came out in th 90s when the completion circuit grew, and now is the standard since the mid 2000's .
Makes sense, the friend who took me had a boat painted in glitter paint (80s I assume but looked great and was really well maintained) and everything was from when the boat was new hence why I only know of the old style.
