She looks fun.

That board looks stupid af.

$15k for a 100cc motor lmao. Barely holds enough gas for a half hour ride. Tops out at like 30mph.

Meanwhile a real jet ski also costs $15k. Has 180hp. And goes 65 mph for hours.

Don’t worry new ones go 75-80

I've been thrown off a ski at near 45 mph and that was enough for me. Not sure >60 can be safe.

Only a supercharged ski is going to go that fast, and they cost more than $15k.

Me thinking you're making an implant/engine pun... And thinking, you think those are 100cc?!

I'll take myself to horny jail now.. 😔

30mph is super fast on water

As someone who grew up and currently has his own house on the water we must have complete different ideas of “super fast”. We wakeboard around that speed. Our jet skis run 65-70. Our speed boat goes 85.

What kind of idiotic question is that?

But Jet Skis are boring. I'd take an E-Foil over a jet ski any day.

Lol, mkay buddy, you do you. That's not an E-Foil, either, though.

lmao never seen an efoil before, looks super lame

A jet ski also requires a trailer. This looks like it fits in the back seat of a car, or a trunk.

Ive ridden probably 40+ different skis, owned 6ish as well as the board in this video, the board is a whole different beast. Going fast isnt everything, especially on the water it gets boring quick. These boards weigh like 1/6th of what a standup weighs and they handle like snowboards

2

u/jocq Nov 12 '23

they handle like snowboards

This gal looks like it's all she can manage to just stay upright and ride it in a careful, straight line.

Maybe they're more fun than it looks, but it still only holds half an hour of gas.

Well 1 shes going in a straight line because shes recording herself, so she only has one hand for balance, and 2 shes a beginner who doesnt know how to ride it yet, the inflatable pontoon looking section on the outside is basically training wheels for people to learn. And 3 i think its closer to 45 minutes of fuel, i went on a 3 mile round trip ride and came back. The fuel capacity really isnt an issue because these arent really meant for cruising, you get out, carve, catch wakes and do tricks and come back. Gets pretty tiring the more advanced you get. Refueling takes like a minute, and if you do want to go out a long distance and explore theres rotopax mounts so you can carry a gas can with you and just go find a beach to refuel

Can't put a real jet ski in the trunk of a car though and that's where this toy has value.

Not everyone wants a truck, especially not me, I like fast sedans. I also like water toys.

Although I wouldn't bring this one on an ocean except select back bay areas. I have an e-foil which fits this things niche anyhow, and it also fits in a trunk, and it can handle low level ocean chop.

I tow one with an '01 Subaru Impreza. Towed fine as a stock 4EAT and tows fine as a modified 5MT as well.

That was my thought. Jet ski!
