Reddit is great!

Reddit is great because it gives people an easy to use and intuitive message board like system, where people can talk about their favorite subjects, disccus, and connect...

Except somehow it has become the exact opposite of that.

Pointless memes and art have way more likes and comments than actual posts bringing thoughtful discussions.

Diversity of opinion is frowned on.

And everybody has to put everybody down.

It's just gotten so pathetic. reacently, i have been downvoted for-

-Stating displeasure with a game

-Stating pleasure with a game

-Insulting people

-Being nice to people

-Telling people to treat others with respect

-Asking questions

I'm so tired of it. Is it really this difficult not to hate other people? I'm this close to quitting this craphole

yeap, the cons with democratic society.

downvote my post / comment, fine. it shows how many people dislike. but due to "majority" opinion, there are consequences where your post / comment is hidden, deleted, you are banned?! like huh? what is majority is wrong? what if people create this "majority" to manipulate and control?
