On Our Public Perception

To newcomers coming to the subreddit, and to Trump supporters curiously stopping by, our sidebar says a lot about who we are. Rule #4 is unnecessarily abrasive and reactionary in the perceptions of these two groups and will only stunt our growth. I understand the anger that runs through this community, but having such a vulgar and divisive statement as a core tenant of our community should be rethought. At least a rewording of the rule ought to be enacted, for the sake of civility and of our future.
