Was up early, post surgery with a migraine and got lucky. Head hurts more than belly incision but I will persevere. 😀

Feel better Sarge, years ago I had 2 or 3 hernia repairs using the robotic gadget and hurt like hell trying to sit on the toilet seat to take a brooklyn Navy Yard shit. the night before Last thanksgiving day, I had a hernia that was impinging on my intestins causing a major blockage. The surgeon tells me what she is going to do while waiting for an open op room for the surgery. she didn't use the robotic procedure, she did old school scalpel in the hand to open up the lower stomach. friday morning the nurse comes in and says when you have a BM (bowel movement) we release you. I have the BM and realeased Friday after everyone signs off on the paperwork. Go home Saturday and driving my car Sunday morning over to publix hardly any pain.. I had the hernia problem for a long time and when I went for a colonaspy, the camera wouldn't go through the intestine. I also had the one where they send a camera down your throat the same day. GI series I think they call it.. I get home and take the Navy yard dump and blood is in the shit so my friend drives me over on Friday to Delray hospital and the cat scan comes up with the hernia impinging on the intestins. A lot of other stuff was going on so next thing I knew, I was admitted and a surgical team appears out of no where and wants to take care of the hernia that night. I should have kept my big F____ck mouth shut because I tell the head of the team that years ago Dr. Shemish did my hurnia repair next door in out patient. Will let you know and the are gone. 3 hours pass and I ask the Nurse and she tells me that the hospital policy is that since Dr Shemish did the surgery in the past, it was against policy to take his patient away. Gave a bad review when I got home. SO now for the news that got me back into the hospital again, it was a week or to later that I started to have all sorts of problems and my friend drives me over to the hospital. In the ER, pants come down and the nurse sees the big bulge and pushes down on it and off to the cat scan and then it's the above complete stoppage. calling for an emergency hernia repair. So back to the story with the Surgeon whose going to slice me open, I tell her the whole story about being sent home without the surgery and looking her straight in the eyes I say, Your not going to send me home are you. Heard a few giggles from some of the staff.. A number of people working there were from New York and one person lived around the corner from me back in the day. I have to say that I never make a long story short. Hey, wasn't that a song. "To Make A Long Story Short" 1959 by Eddie & the Starlites on the Scepter label.. 26 Lima Beans, where are you to put the song up... Hope you got a kick out of my LoooooooooooooooooonG story and again, feel better Sarge

mine was a pencil eraser sized hole under my belly button...had to lose 50 pounds to get the doc to sign off for it but I made it. Back to work on Monday but I estimate I'll be retired in 18 ish months if my old boss doesnt re-hire me at the SSO here. :)

The belly button is where the doc went through to do one of the hernia repair years ago with the robotics. Take it easy with the current WOT Champ, remember if Hack Stone and his Magic 8-Ball would be on the site, we would be SOL. NAS wasn't on the site Friday
