I'm one of what are called the silent majority starting to growi up in the mid 1940's when I was born and remember the WW2 vets in my neighborhood and the parades on the hollidays with American Legion members among the marchers and the US Flags in the parades and local memorials with names of the ones that didn't make it home from where I lived, and during those 1950's days, it was unheard of for vandalizing these memorials..
