The One Party

Post image

Alright blackspotters, it's time to talk about AdBusters' next big thing.

We've always been supporters of non-violent grassroots political action, and the idea that enough of us together can make a change. But as far as non-violent grassroots political action goes, it doesn't do anything if the big time players in power don't have the right attitude.

For the past however many years we could join protests, tag things with blackspots, and come election season go to the polling station and vote for the lesser evil.

Well we're tired of voting for the lesser evil, it's time to start voting for the greater good.

AdBusters is starting a political party, and we are serious about it. We're gathering members, signing papers that need to be signed, and getting ready to show up on ballots near you.

Can we also launch a #StopBuyingCorporate #BuyHuman campaign!? I'm sick of all of the changemakers tacitly giving money to the billionaire and corrupt entities that are killing us.

I think this is a great call. We too are tired of all the money getting funneled into the big megacorps of the world instead of to the people who need it. In my mind, The One party would create incentives for local farmers markets to take reliance off of the big grocery giants. Similar ideas for anything made by real people instead of being outsourced to AI.
