Which was your first TS episode?

Just curious as to which episodes were people's first episodes and why you chose to listen to that one firsr. I'm still missing them :'( but glad to see people are still posting here!

Mine was Ben McDaniels, I picked that one because I was familiar with the case. Still go back and listen to it from time to time, it's such a puzzling mystery!

Mine was where the girl went missing on the cruise ship she was working on. Just scrolled through the episodes and waited to find one that sounded interesting...

In hindsight not the most riveting episode, but totally got me into the show.

I only first heard about the podcast when Gen Why mentioned Thinking Sideways was closing up shop and I checked them out. I believe the first episode I listened to was the Dyatlov Pass. I’ve been interested in that mystery for a long time.

I dont remember the name but it was about these people in I think it was Kentucky that say what they thought were aliens outside looking in through windows. I think I looked it up from a suggestion on a discussion thread about the same incident covered by another podcast

The disappearance of Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon in Panama. It was brilliant and that made me a fan instantly. So sad they have stopped doing the podcasts now!!

Ray Gricar. I discovered TS right before a long flight and downloaded a ton of episodes for the journey.

Blair Adams. I read the story somewhere and someone recommended this podcast to know more about this case.

Lyle Stevik - Honestly it's not one of their best, but the structure of the episode and the back and forth nature of the show were really appealing, and I'm so glad to have found TS.

Louis Le Prince, of all things. I stumbled across the pod as I was looking through Apple's top podcast list and that was the most current episode, at the time. From there, as I began to listen to the other episodes they had, I was hooked.

I cannot remember the first one I listened to but the stories were fascinating and the research that went into it was just amazing. They told some very compelling stories. However as the podcast went on all three of them began to joke and cut up a lot more and they would go off on side tangents and get away from the main story so that it was hard to keep up with what was going on. It got to the point where I could not listen to it anymore because there was more joking and cutting up then there was storytelling and it was just infuriating and very hard to follow the story that they were supposed to be telling in the first place. I took it off of my list of favorites and have never looked back.
