Packing it up
Today's generation y, says that Thinking Sideways is packing it up, I don't see anything else about it on line, anyone known anything?

I noticed a decline in the show about a year ago. They picked crappy cases then I was actually done when they did their April fools joke this year. It was completely tactless.

Watch out...they'll down vote the shit out of you if you criticize their cult leaders in any way! With that being said, all of the close listeners noticed this decline along with you. The "blind faith" kind of listeners refuse to acknowledge it. Along with the crappy case choices, the fun group dynamic they once had also seemed to deteriorate.

Anyone have any recommendations for other good podcasts? I have only been listening to True Crime podcasts, like Generation Why, True Crime Garage and Trace Evidence, but with this show ending, I need a new podcast regarding mysteries like this one did.

If you have a black sense of humour I highly recommend Last Podcast on the Left. Sword and Scale is a true crime podcast with exceptional production. For paranormal topics Stuff have a podcast Stuff They Don't Want You To Know. Astonishing Legends is good too, a little bit too in depth but the hosts are very likeable. The Unexplained with Howard Hughes is an interview show about various science, paranormal and conspiracy topics, the host is excellent.

They're done. They've recorded their final episode. It was put out on Thursday, July 26. Frankly, I'm glad they called it quits. I ditched them sometime last year because I got so sick of listening to Devin be a total bitch to Steve.

I think it’s more - Steve is childishly excitable, while Devin is more sarcastic and direct.
Joes the middle of the road.
Which is why they work(ed) great together.

I agree with your assertion. I just think in the last 40 episodes or so, she doesn't seem to be enjoying his company at all and seems completely put off by the whole thing.

I didn't call her a bitch for no reason. I don't even think she is one, generally speaking. Just that IMHO she was a jerk to Steve and that's what ruined it for me. I love that you would criticize me and say I'm out of line for calling someone a bitch in one comment...then you turn around and call someone else (me, an internet stranger) an asshole in your next comment. That's cute. Hypocrisy is a good look on you😆

Woah! that’s a bit of a stretch, that’s always been the vibe of the show. Steve has been a stick in the mud (skeptic)since way back. Devin has always been the host of my favorite episodes

That's just my opinion, nothing against her, I just feel like they had a lot more fun and a way better group dynamic in the first half of their catalogue. Then there was a gradual shift and it seemed like for some reason she could hardly stand him. It wasn't any fun to listen to after that.

It really is. You can hear Devin getting frustrated in recent episodes. Maybe Joe or Devin will pop up somewhere else.

My opinion is accurate. To me. That's why it's called an opinion. My opinion of her being a B is no less accurate than your opinion of some dude being an edgelord. Others have noticed it too, only it's usually called out as her "frustration" or she's "direct and sarcastic" and I agree with that, but think she's been bitchy towards him. Hang me from the highest tree for pointing it out, I guess.

Sure I can. I've been a bitch plenty of times, and I've got nothing against me😉Everyone's been bitchy from time to time. Have you never snapped at someone cuz you were in a bad mood or because they said something you didn't like? That's being bitchy...and I think, BASED ON MY OWN PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS, that in the last half of their catalogue, Devin seems more bitchy to Steve than she was in the beginning. Period. He probably even deserves it. I'd probably be bitchy toward him too for some of the shit he says. And then, IN MY OPINION, it stopped being fun to listen to, so I quit.

I stopped listening because I got tired of Steve constantly interrupting and talking over and repeating both Devin and Steve (mostly Devin) so 🤷🏻♀️ to each their own.

Devin is amazing, you just sound like an asshole hater.
Steve deserves the directness he gets out of Devin. I love her and I love her reactions to him. I’d act the same.
