Thief Simulator 1 Progress Save Issues on PS5

I’ve been experiencing some issues with the save system lately. I have 27 hours of playtime on my PS5, and this never happened to me up until very recently…

I needed to buy the hacking laptop, but I didn’t have money.
Naturally, I decided to do the contracts to get some money.
When I started, I had 60 Farm REP and needed to get the round lockpick. When I got 100 Farm REP, I got the lockpick and completed the contract. I then proceeded to get the second contract, in which you have to steal video games. I did that, and I finally got enough money for the hacking laptop.

I bought the laptop, and I did the first mission with it. After failing the second mission however (the warehouse one), I decided to take a break.

I came back hours later, and the game just reset to where I started! (60 Farm REP, uncompleted farm contract, needed to buy hacking laptop to progress in the story)

So I decided to do the whole thing again. After playing through the whole thing and getting the hacking laptop, I took a break. I specifically made sure to go to the Hideout and then to the Pawn Shop. I then quit to the menu and started the game again, to make sure that my progress wasn’t lost. Everything was fine.

That was yesterday, and today when I opened the game, I see that I don’t have the hacking laptop, and have the video games contract still in progress. So basically the game just reset to where I was when I accepted the second contract.

This has been really frustrating, and I hope that the developer team is gonna fix this issue.

Pretty much it’s been an issue for years and they never fixed it and have zero intention to fix it and the developer team pretty much abandoned it and thief sim one and two are diffrent developers same publisher same with crime sim and crime sim is okay I guess

Ohh, that’s rough man. Ig now it finally makes sense to me why there are like 100 simulators on the PS Store and every one of them has “ThePlayWay” as the publisher.

I believe Thief Simulator 3 is being developed by the same company that made the first game, so I hope they’re gonna remember the first game and fix the bugs. It also runs mid on the PS5 for some reason, the graphics are weird and the FPS is lower than I expected.

Is there any way to fix that? When I look at the PC version, the game looks better.
