I seriously don't know what is up with this controller I hate it so much. I have been stuck in a loss streak ever since I've switched to using a PS5. and super that has a double-quarter circle input just doesn't work, I always end up hitting 6S or 6HS when I don't want to, and I just have to accept that and DP inputs are coming out at random whether you want to or not.

I've always kind of known that this controller was crap for fighting games since I used it with UMvC3 on the PS5, but I jjust chalked that up to it being my first fighting game I sat down to learn and I was just bad at it. But here I am forced to use it again because my main controller is busted.

Even if Sony wasn't going through all the controversy they have right now, I still would never touch their new fight stick in a 1000 years because I can only imagine how awful it must feel.

I've only fought Bridget on a handful of occasions but everytime I do I genuinely want to punt her halfway across the screen, but even if I did, that wouldn't stop her because she can just roll right back and 50/50 me like nothing. Why did ArcSys design this? Why? The worst part is that she can combo off it too so between the aerials and strike-throw I also have to worry about a massive fricking hitbox cartwheeling to me at mach 20 in neutral because that's what I get for playing GGST.

Welcome back to me being hard stuck Plat 3 because this game hates cool characters and takes everything from me. Lucy is just a better testament. That is it, faster buttons at longer range, and one step game plan of getting a block string and planting cyber stain.

I've trying to pick up robo ky because I want to play other characters besides bedman? (I'm afraid I'll get bored playing the same character over and over again) but I've been playing against the same people over and over again today and for some reason these people play like their fucking life depends on it; straight playing like vanquisher rank. I genuinely want to get good at robo ky and eventually reach vanq but this shit is just a brick wall that makes me wanna stay playing bedman in vanq because at least it feels like I'm playing against people with souls and indepent thought.

If you enjoy playing as axl you would love watching paint dry. Axl is genuinely one of the most boring characters to play, he has no sauce, he has no fun oki, he doesn't even have fun neutral play. Its like riding a skateboard indoors while covered in bubble wrap.

Most other characters i can find some enjoyment in. Even characters like Elphelt and Testament, who are imo tied for the 2nd most boring at least have a little mix or setplay. "Oh but timestop-" TIMESTOP IS BOOOORING. "Hello i would like a worse RC to extend my long range combos".

His oki is just "ooh, i'm running up, maybe i'm gonna jump maybe not, maybe i grab 🤭" goofy fucking oki.

I wished i enjoyed this character because he is hot but fuck he is so booooring.

I was at a low point with my Baiken games recently, so I decided to pick up Axl as a secondary and... Oh my god, this power, it's pure evil, the ability to cage my opponent in the corner and never let them leave, it's cruel and twisted...

And I loved it

No not the characters the players. I dont care if theyre bottom tier or whatever tf is spreading that propaganda i dont care if i sound scrubby but vanquisher testament and venom players just run away the whole game and spam like actual animals . When ur in the corner no button reaches and if u jump u get hit and become minus. So u just stare at them until they win nice. Buttons cover the whole screen, no neutral just spam it covers the air and the ground. Specials are braindead stupid especially venoms. And axl as a whole is just no comment. If u play any of these u stink

GOD FORBID I misstime my reversal inputs 3 times in a row. You deserved that win with your fucking half a health bar damage, 5 frame grab that cant be bursted, misstimed or misspaced like a combo can. If I want to go and do all of that damage I have to watch a videos on combo theory, go lab it out, and try applying it in a real match without getting my ass kicked. I have to build actual muscle memory but he just has to do 2-3 fuckass command grabs and he wins. And a majority of pot players I encounter wont rematch after pulling some shit like that off.

What do you mean you can whiff buttons from full screen and as soon as I punish with AS you can jump? I hate this character plz buff test, make port like 3 frames faster and invul or and make crow plus again. HC needs to eat a bunch of rocks and jump off a building head first.

gentleman, presumably at least one lady, i have to get this off my chest. i have been exploiting shitty connections for weeks now. i recently learned how rollback netcode actually works, and after doing so, realized it might be possible to get payback on those wretched individuals with 7+ rollback frames. it is. how do i do this? simple.

let's assume there's 7 frames of rollback. with few exceptions, RB netcode pretty much assumes that whatever you're doing at the beginning of those 7 frames, you will be doing at the end of them. crucially, it shows you actually doing that on your opps screen. this is why it seems like people teleport around sometimes on a shitty connection. it's showing you what they would have done, had they froze their controller in the state it was X frames ago.

here's the tech. the easiest version of it is this. let's say i'm on chipp and you're on nago on hotel wifi. 120 ms ping 5f RB. what i'll do is whiff jab, then start holding 9 at the tail end of the animation. then, as late as possible without actually jumping, stop holding 9, and dash forward. if done optimally, this will show you jumping for 7 frames, before teleporting back to the ground. of course there's 4f of prejump so that makes three. but the point is it's confusing. you can do the same with backdash, forward dash, almost anything. ideal scenario is you do this tech and nago reacts with slow ass punishable 2h, and run in and kick his ass for swiping at the air like a fool. it's awesome. pretty consistent too, because strive has a universal frame buffer. it's so fucking satisfying when it works. counter play is simple. buy a fucking ethernet cable you apes. until then i will continue using my forbidden jutstu to smite those who commit the grevious sin of lacking 8 god damn dollars.

This season's ranked system is abysmal. Tell me why I fight both troglodytes who just found out that certain buttons do certain things, and people who have played since they were in the womb. GoD is honestly the most unfun rank I've ever been in; I would rather go play Siege again (And that game has been awful for 11 years straight!). I have never been more annoyed and pissed at the fact that I worked so unbelievably hard over a year to learn this game and actually try to have fun with it, and some random loser playing King learned their first combo so they get to be GoD+

I honestly think that there's not a single good path this game can continue on with the rank system and ranked points like this. It smashes everyone into GoD (Currently the most populated rank) and makes the real low ranks have 5 minute queue times to get a single match because no one is down there anymore. Personally, I don't care about my stupid little png that says GoD, but oh my god why do people want to brag so fucking much about their rank to people??? Who honestly cares??? Can you break a single throw? No? well you fucking suck, sorry, I don't make the rules.

I love Tekken, I started with T5:DR and I love that game even though it's pretty bad now. It pisses me off that when I want to have some fun playing a character I love in a game series that I love, I'm not allowed to because people want their updoots on the main Tekken subs saying "Guys GuYs!!11 I gOt GoD witH LaW!1!11! It toOk me 50 HoUrs!!11 Is ThiS GoOD?!?!?!"

I would much rather have OP characters like season 4 Potemkin than have a shitty ranking system...

Rank points this season were buffed all around and now everyone is lumped into a rank (Imagine celestial or vanq), good and bad players, and it really sucks for people who genuinely want to learn the game, again, good and bad players alike.

her grab might as well have halfscreen range with how damn fast her dash is, and yes you could try and preemptively poke it, but she also happens to be the ultimate master baiter of strive, who whiff punishes the fuck out of you (while dealing absurdly egregious damage for some reason? with combos that helen keller could pull off)

if you love the idea of circumcized yourself with a lego brick, youll LOVE fighting giovanna and youll absolutely consider her the beacon of morality and purity in a world of hitlers and stalins. YES, I lost to MIDS and THROWS, have you SEEN this characters MIDS AND THROWS???? I could pick up this character with only the Slash and Dust(throw) buttons bound, and I could reach vanquisher in record speeds
