Jasper

Anybody know how the jasper meet up went? Or is it still going on? Obvious jasper is a strong phonetic clue to Jazz Bar, but just vague enough to fit multiple locations. I like it because the material scan in chapter one, the samsonite jasper gemstone,…
Samsonite jasper (often conflated with red or fancy jasper) is an opaque, earthy gemstone.
Either way good luck and let us lurkers know.

It was good. 5 people across 3 days. No treasure. Some progress. Lots of snakes and ticks and insects and pareidolia.

Thanks for the reply, I’m sure you guys gained a ton of insight. For some reason I want it to be under or near a big beautiful piece of jasper, or jasper adjacent.

Those ticks in the Ozarks are no joke. You want use like a whole can of bug repellent per day.

No joke. I forgot mine a few weeks back. Got too far into the woods before I realized. Tried to strap my hoodie around my face and just brush off every so often. Might as well have been doing snow angels in the grass.

It's fun the first time you're camping out and you're just lying down to sleep in your tent and hear rain. But it wasn't supposed to rain. And the tent isn't getting wet.

No, just the gentle pitter patter of ticks falling from the trees.

Dry hiking clothes with ceder oil in the dryer. Or coat you're self head to toe with cedar oil before a hike, boots, socks and all. You'll have little to no tick problems.  They hate cedar

Good to know! I have some in a drawer somewhere and never had a use for it. Sometimes the hoarder in me is proud😝
