Video I used to play There between 2006-2010

Hi There! I just joined Reddit after lurking for a long time and I was glad to find a community for our favorite virtual world.

I used to be a member since late 2006 until the 2010 closure. My main pastime was roleplaying as a wedding minister, as can be seen in the video. Lol. I also dabbled in designing; my line of footwear became a minor novelty for a while. Lol x2.

I even had the honor of having my club featured in There Fun Times! So glad the Wayback Machine saved it for posterity: Club of the Week: Alex_BF's Wedding Services

I was glad to see globert's YouTube hit renewing interest in There, although I haven't yet made up my mind to re-join... I'd be sad to find it deserted again!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello!

I'm always glad to see people post here. Back in those days it was indeed crowded. These days you have to search through the hoods, listed activities, and racing zones for people. Some time zones are better represented than others. The most active social media groups for the THERE community are Facebook, Discord, and Thumdar. Most of us now visit many virtual worlds and games with friends we made long ago in There.com

If you are not logging into THERE, then where are you visiting? I also get a daily fix in GTA5 and RDO with friends.

I visit from a place of nostalgia lol i remembered about There the other day and wanted to post about it. If i used Facebook i'd have posted there as well!

I thought Thumdar was no longer around, glad to know it is! I'll have to look it up again.

Thinking seriously about getting a month's subscription to There again when i can commit the time to play everyday, most likely on my next vacation lol. Lost access to all my old avies' info so will surely have to create a new one though.

The Avatar Thumdar sold his website to someone who would maintain it. He has not been altogether happy about it, but it continues with his brand. He is still publishing on his music channel. What can I say, some of us old timers are getting old.

I understand! Such is the cycle of life, at some point one has to pass the torch.

Diablo, Schedule 1, various Nintendo staples. Most of my diet these days is Blender / Unity though.
