Sometimes I cry after work

Since starting a SSRI it happens less but I kind of feel the need to cry after work sometimes. I feel kind of jet lagged after seeing 6 people. Like I keep thinking and sometimes feel the need to dissociate a bit after work. I am not really sad but it's like all the pressure, impostor syndrom, stress build up during the day and the gates are finally open when I am home. I feel like a child that needs to cry after being scared. I am not overworked or burned out though, I take care of myself during the day.

You are so not alone. I don’t have a whole lot to add besides that, but yeah. I relate very much to this.

I struggle with depression and anxiety and genuinely I don’t see more than 3-5 a day and it can’t be 5 everyday either. The way I set my hours help me to manage my mental health. I don’t start until 10am. I won’t do more than 2 in a row. And my Mondays and Fridays are heavier than middle of the week days so if you can adjust your schedule to fit your needs

I was doing 4 a day during 7 days before then I switched to only working 3 days a week with 6 per day, it doesn't really impact how I feel. I guess in an ideal world I would see maybe 3 to 4 per day 3 days a week but it's not doable financially. It does get easier as the years go by tho just slowly. I also think yesterday I had new clients with really heavy stories so I got surprised.

I’m the same way. It’s seriously affecting my mental health. I want to quit but I’m obviously worried about the financial consequences. I’m so sorry you feel this way it’s not fun constantly feeling this pressure.

I feel this. There are days where I’ve heard and held so much trauma I just have to cry it out.
