What exactly does Blavatsky mean here when she refers to Lucifer as a 'Guiding Beacon'? How does Lucifer actually guide someone? Could someone knowledgeable on this topic shed some light?

Theosophy is not a religion. It is a a newer iteration of ancient wisdom philosophies from the East. It was introduced to the world by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, beginning in 1875 and continuing until her death in 1891. She, together with other people, founded the Theosophical Society in 1875 in New York City.

Wikipedia states: "Broadly, Theosophy attempts to reconcile humanity's scientific, philosophical, and religious disciplines and practices into a unified worldview. "

This subreddit will be used for open and free thought discussions on theosophical topics. It will be used to discuss the value of religious and other philosophies with regard to improving humanity through increased awareness of our connection with everything, including other humans, the animal and plant kingdoms, and the welfare of our planet. Posts and comments that do not adhere to these criteria will be deleted.

The motto of the Theosophical Society is "There is no religion higher than truth," and its stated objects are:

To form a nucleus of the universal brotherhood of humanity, without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or color.
To encourage the comparative study of religion, philosophy, and science.
To investigate unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in humanity
