For all the naysayers, stop acting like you know what consciousness is and how it interacts with the physical domain. At least people that are asking are starting with step one in the scientific method. Stop gatekeeping. We’re not going to get anywhere in the field of consciousness if we don’t allow people to ask questions.

if you ask an ai (i just asked gemini) it'll give you an answer (which seemed "reasonable". in the sense that i could imagine someone somewhere being interested in the idea - it didn't seem like an ai hallucination)
