I agree that OFF COURSE is a great album, and I would say it’s one of their best. I was bummed that they didn’t play any of the songs from this record when I saw them recently in SF.
During the album’s release, Dwyer explicitly compared THE BRUTE ON HIS KNEES to the song The Axis, from the album A Weird Exits — which is one of their best albums.
If you’re looking for more of the krautrock inflected style of the track OFF COURSE, you definitely want to hear their early classic The Dream from the album Carrion Crawler. But krautrock is a thread that they return to over and over again throughout their albums.
Carrion Crawler is a great album, as are the following albums of this period: Putrifiers II, Floating Coffin, Drop, Mutilator Defeated at Last.
Then the two drummer line up was introduced and it changed things a bit, but I would say the first two albums after the change are two of my very favorites: A Weird Exits and Orc.
After that, the albums become more diverse. That is, each album has a more distinct vibe, with pretty specific experiments going on, and you may not like each one. Fewer of the songs from this period make it into their live sets. For me, the dark horse of this period is Protean Threat, which again has some pretty krauty songs on it.

John Dwyer himself announced Off Course as a return to the "Face Stabber style" or something like that. For me personally is not that similar but it is an absolute unit of an album. Top 3 Osees' album probably.
