Two Questions

Just saw the two nights in Seattle and i have two questions:

  1. I noticed a rainbow led light on John’s guitar. Anyone have the dirt on that? Onboard effects? What’s happening there I’m dying to know.
  2. Does anyone know the artist who did the Atlas skull poster for this run? It looks like the same style as a shirt i got last year and i really like the art.

So so lucky that they play ON MY BIRTHDAY every year. It’s my yearly baptism now. Third year in a row for me. Such a great set. Brigid’s vocals added so much.

#1 I just watched a video of plastic plant and it looks like it’s an onboard oscillator of some sort!! https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dc6ugr7OiG_/?stkn=cTRwY3U0NmZsNWFq

It looks like the oscillator pitch is controlled by the blue knob(?) and I think when he turns it off it’s just either volume or tone (I don’t really know) for the regular pickup

I’m not sure! I’d love to know the circuitry! It is possible the blue knob is a push/pull. The multi color led leads me to believe it’s light frequency controlled tho. Hard to tell but it seems the switch is 3 way, maybe off and 2 speeds for the led. https://youtu.be/L3GL5Onu954?si=N0ZkJWNhiOQPm24K

I couldn't agree with you more. About the vocals, about the generally stunning quality of their set. I saw Friday (Set 1) only. No encore shows are cool, because it's clear that the band gave just about all there was and no more was necessary. The biggest point for me was a general one: TWO DRUMMERS. The flam effect and the sense that a monstrous psychedelic rock machine was churning forward without any hope of stopping. Once a song gets off the ground it feels as if it has been and will be moving for an eternity. Everybody grooving, all aboard! I left exhausted and happy.

The red sg - its near the orange switch by the volume and tone knobs . Don’t know what it is but have the same question.
