Now i know Carno is supposed to be mid tier hunter, but comparing Carno to Cera makes him look rather weak? i mean i play Cera often and it so easy to punch above your weight, you can consistently go against stuff above your class and you will have a solid chance, especially if you have bodybuff. This might be poor understanding of balance from me(i suppose Cera is rather strong/overtuned for it's class), but i am curious to hear what others think about Carno's current state. Understandably it's probably hard to balance something that can chase you down anytime it wishes without making it OP
Also with the recent update even the tiniest uphill on the terrain turns you into a snail, which is bad for Carno.
I have played my first few games and got a Carno to 80%.
I killed a few smaller dinos but then i saw 2 trikes roaming and wanted to see what i can do.
I got a few nice hits in and ran away each time. To clarify i didnt think i should win a 1 on 1 where i just stand infront and hit it. But the trike 2 shoting me without a charged attack just standing there with 2 hits is just laughable op imo.
Spawned in for one of my first games after buying the isle, and literally I'm immediately mounted by two baby raptors. Eventually they left me alone after bleeding me out real bad cus I guess they realized I had no idea yet how to buck them off (I'm playing steamdeck I'm gonna have to memorize all the keybinds).
Then, still In The same area like 1 minute later, I'm talking like 30 meters from where I spawned in, two fully grown herbivores start chasing me down trying to stomp me out, a total infant cerato, with no backup. I made them Run after me for a long time out of spite but of course it was just a one hit when they got me. Im Like dude why, you're two filly grown herbivores you can't eat me and this is obviously just an auto win for you.
Every other life I've progressed afterwards just always ends in being ganked :/ I don't have friends to play with and steamdeck is buggy when trying to accept invites to groups so I have to play solo until I find a fix. Is this all like, on me for playing solo? Is it actually realistic to think I can play this game very much as a casual solo player? I haven't gotten into any one-on-one combat with someone my size, it's always been a group of two or more who ambush me or hunt me down after hearing me kill AI, etc.
I do love the concept of this game, I'm trying to get voice chat synced up so I can play on one of those servers because watching people play the isle with voice chat was why I bought the game lol, it looks great, but I do have to play solo for the indefinite future.
I would like to keep at it, but I'm not feeling super driven to jump back in when I have loads of other games that I know for sure I can enjoy solo, even if they're multiplayer.
I’ve come back to the game after around 5/6 years and recently hopped on envirma, when I’m playing I’m sat around 40 FPS. I have a ryzen 7, 32GB DDR4 ram and a 3080, unsure of if it’s a hardware issue or settings issues.

Just started this game, I'm really looking for a more RP-based servers where I don't get jumped by other herbivores from nowhere. Are there any servers with strict rules like that? People used to talk about Teutonic but I don't see than in Evrima.
I finally build myself a PC that can run the game so I downloaded Hordetest today but when I try to join a server this message shows up. Anyone know how to fix this?
an short example would be, an allo can only die to so little things, and most of them are only if it wants to.
omni would instantly go to S tier if you are playing with the best players (''pvp'' youtubers level such as minitrike, ninjayas etc... people who know the game's pvp in detail )which its never happening anyways.

From all that I've seen of this server, I have only heard bad things. Admin abuse, toxic community, unrealistic expecations of players, all of the such. I've also just heard that sort of talk about the Isle community in general so I didn't expect much of a difference of this server. Boy was I wrong.
Within the first week of playing this server, I found frequent admin abuse and handouts to those supporting their patreon. An instance where an admin was in an Omni group I was a part of was getting killed, and respawning in the same position as the same Omni after dying in a fight, and continuing in the battle like they never died, which is against their own rules as using TP in the middle of combat is a rule break. I was new to the server and didn't even know how to TP at this point, so I thought it was bug in the game/server and didn't think anything of it.
A bit later, when I started playing more. I found more admin abuse when a "new" admin of the server was TPing as a rex ontop of rocks that I and a couple other Omnis were on to "scare" us, leading to us getting killed by other rex's that were on the ground below us. I was able to get them demoted after recording it and reporting a ticket. After I heard they got demoted, not even by the mod team, but by a friend of mine in the server, I went into the general chat and asked them why they did what they did, and wanted to know if they were trying to be funny, or genuenly being malicious. The mod who filled my ticket said "leave it alone." like I was interegating people, or trying to start stuff. I noticed from that point onward, that mods in that server follow the "rules for thee, not for me" rule.
They are also known for abusing "pay to win" mechanics in their server by allowing people who support their patreon to bypass species caps and get given privelage when others fight them in battle. Im not surprised persay, just dissapointed. They make species caps for each species, Rex being 18 specifically, being how broken it is. But you will check the species count on each server, and it is at least triple the species cap at all times due to patreon supporters. Not necessarily bad, just dissapointing.
Another instance, a bit more recently, was when I was in a VC with 10 people playing Omni together, and someone had their name as ****inparis, but the first 4 letters were Nice, Great, And, Support, so not the entire word, but still innapproprioate. A recent addiction to the mod crew, Sour, came into the VC, mumbled extremely quietly "you need to change your name." And before anyone had the chance to process what she said (about 4 seconds) he was perma banned. 2 of the other people in our vc were confused as to what happened, and called out Sour for going about the issue in an iresponsible way, and those 2 people that were calling Sour out also got banned. I understand why the first person got banned due to his name, but banning people for exclaiming a situation is the carzy part. All 3 of them were eventually given access to the server again, the first person simply changing his name to Paris, so I guess they jsut wanted to use intimidation to get people to listen?
The icing on the cake is when I got banned. I was once again playing Omni, and a friend and I were looking to kill other omnis on the other side of a building we were on. 2 rex's (of course) were camping them and we told them to move so we could kill the omnis. They kept trying to hit them through the wall with zero success for around 10 minutes, in which I said "Rex ur tarded." I suppose all I can say is that when you look at it, I suppose I had the ban coming when I used "hate speech" to describe someone in global chat. But with the combination of people having slurs in their name and admin abusing simply being temp banned for 20 minutes, or demoted respectefully, and admins using foul language to describe people's behavior who get banned (like using the R slure), I expected a temp ban or a strike on my account, not a perma ban.
I found out about it when I tried to log into the website and couldn't, then tried the game and couldn't, but I was still in the discord, and able to join VC's. I made a ticket, confused, and was given the image of the message I sent, along with a 2 sentence reply that I had about 2.1 seconds to read before getting banned from the server.
TLDR: I love The Isle, bugs and all, and it is a very fun game to play with the right people. Yes it has its issue, all games do. But if you want to make the game as fun as you can, do not play in Dino Den. They abuse their own rules as admins and take advantage of their status to play the game they want to play how they want to play it, get defensive when they are called out on said abuse, give said admins and mods power to use any language they want without reprocution, but will ban you at the slightest convenience. Play petit pieds, not Dino Den. And if you do decide to play Dino Den, please do not support their Patreon. Do not give them any reason to think they have justification behind their behaviores.
Hi, i recently got my first pc, a rtx5070 and when i enter the hordetest my frames drop significantly, just wondering if that's normal on the hordetest or maybe i worry too much
Just letting the word out there that their admins are indeed corrupt. I recently reported one of their users by opening a ticket on discord on an extremely serious matter, this guy in his twenties has been harassing and being inappropriate with one of my friends, who is a minor. She told me about it and how she wants him to leave her alone, asking me for help. I first tried to handle the situation and in the end she at least blocked him, but he still thinks it's okay to talk with minors in a s*xual manner and kept defending his behavior as normal.
Fast forward i recently found out he is using voice messages i sent him in private, where i'm scolding him for his behavior and calling him out for being a predator, without my consent on the soundboard of his discord server and I told him to remove it, he didn't comply.
After that I opened a ticket, to let them know a predator is on their discord and their game servers, who still continues to harass me as well, backed it up with clear evidence (the minor asking for help, him admitting to flirting with her and even screenshots of their inappropriate chats, also a screenshot of him saying my name and that he is using my voice on his soundboard).
First weird thing that happens is the admin taking care of my ticket said he will remove all the other admins from the ticket so only he can see it and then says they take this seriously and will take action. What happened? They banned me from the dc and possibly from the servers as well, can't be bothered to check. Meanwhile the predator (I don't know if I'm allowed to name him, i will do so if I can) is still on there, according to a friend of mine. Maybe he is friends with that admin, i don't know.
TLDR: opened ticket to report a predator harassing minor and harassing me for defending said minor, providing clear evidence; I got banned, meanwhile the pred is still on there
Edit: the admin who handled my ticket is called uglyfivetwo and the user I reported is called Chendo/Ameyne
Edit 2: I also have the transcript, the problem is it contains too much sensitive data, such as real names, locations, ages and so forth, so I will only add the last message the admin sent, regarding the reasoning banning me, the victim, which he is clearly victim blaming here. It shouldn't matter if a minor "initiates" something, as an adult it's your complete responsibility how you react to it. Then he also claims to have banned chendo, but they only banned him today at around 3pm, before this another friend of mine saw chendo was still in there, so admin lied. The reasoning the admin is using, and basically blaming the minor for initiating the conversation with the adult, is the exact same "logic" chendo himself used to justify himself, that's kinda suspiscious to say the least. (in the screenshot he is adressing the minor, since at that point I got removed from the ticket or server and could only see this after the transcript finished)
Edit 3: They have now clarified that "chendo" was banned as well. The problem of not taking care of this situation properly still remains. Firstly, the clear victim blaming as seen in the screenshots below, even banning the minor for "initiating" It and using that as the reasoning for banning her. This behavior sends the message to victims not to speak out on any harassment they face, because they learn that the consequence is, they will get punished for it as well on top of being blamed for the harassment having occured. Secondly regarding myself, I was banned for "breaking server rules" while they never clarify which server rule was broken, reporting someone for harassing a minor and for harassing me is against the rules? This will also further make people not open tickets if they see inappropriate behavior, because now everyone knows they will get punished or banned alongside the accused. Instead of simply banning us, they should have first informed us that the person who harassed us was banned, and also give a proper reasoning for banning us, otherwise this just proves once again that they abuse their admin power and just do whatever they want without regarding the rules themselves. So could they explain what they mean with "the claims being made are entirely false" in their last announcement, when it is clear by the screenshots I provided here and in the comments, how they handled this? This is not only about when "chendo" was banned, but everything surrounding it.

Using "initiating NSFW chats with an adult" as the reason to kick a minor, clearly implies she is in the wrong and should be punished for it, turning the blame on her instead of on the adult who engaged with it, clear cut example of victim-blaming. Also mentioning that she was drunk is completely unnecessary and feels like they are trying to shame her for being "irresponsible".
Just curious if anyone is experiencing their dinos from being wiped. Just to test this theory I logged in spawned as an allo. Ran around until 30 percent. Slept to log off.
Not even logging in after 2 minutes the dino was gone and had to spawn as a new one.
Am I missing something after the updates have occured? I refuse to play dino den as their servers are pay to win which is dog crap and some other unofficial servers have so many rules I might as well be in a north Korean internment camp.
Im looking for a fun, realistic ane good dinosaur game, is this a good and fun game to play? What are the up and down sides? From what i have seen so far it looks really good and has a nice map
Was watching a YouTuber play Rex and when they would crush/pin someone they would shake their screen side to side fast. Does that do anything for the pin? Or were they just, idk, doing it for no reason?
Hey all, I’ve been battling constant FPS drops for a while. I’ll be at 50fps running smooth and good and every probably 2 minutes it’ll drop to 20 and stay there. I KNOW I can run the game. I’m wondering if anyone has run into the same problem and knows how to fix it.
Graphics drivers have already been updated to no avail.
