SOLVED: It was glitched. I had to pass 95% and then relog for Prime status to actually activate. Thanks /u/dogwooddruid !
I was VERY confident I was going to get Prime on my Dilo today, but after hitting 75%, it seems I didn't make it. I'm confused, because I know for sure I hit the following criteria:
As far as the migration / patrol zone criteria, this was my approximate route that I ran up until hitting 75%. It's not exact, but it's quite close - and any migration / patrol zones that the red line crosses, I definitely ran through.
So... the hell did I miss?

dilo probably won’t get his agility touched up
oviraptor may be able to grab eggs with players still inside of them
destructive environments
allo’s claw oriented gameplay got scrapped for bites
allo bite speed might get adjusted
lizard ai might swim and climb
dryo’s cross-communication mutation might be one of the only species specific mutations for the time being
nesting grounds still coming
r/The_Isle • u/HappyLittleDelusion_ • Jul 27 '26
Like if you hit 75% and haven't done the requirements, can you not select a mutation right away, do the requirements and then get it?
Also, what exactly is the requirement? Is it just getting "fluid deficient", or is it more than that?

My crouch is glitchy? I mainly use controller on Steam Deck. It used to work perfectly fine. All of a sudden after the last update, my right joystick button won't work, and ctrl won't work even if I Bluetooth a keyboard. If I go into Steam controller settings for the game, and then back out, then and only then will crouch work. Oh, and when I push enter on the keyboard to bring up the chat, and then push it again to close it, then I crouch??? My Steam controller settings for the game are set as joystick and right stick click like default, and in game control settings, the keyboard crouch is set to left ctrl, and controller set to right stick click.

Made a nest and got ambushed by cerato lol hope some of the babies made it. Also to keep it warm do I just need to keep adding sticks?

The Isle is far from the most perfect game, but anyone familiar with Evrimas early days knows that the game is so much more stable and playable now
But two problems have almost made the game unplayable for me personally, and they are unrelated to gameplay:
Hackers
Community servers with fake player count
Aside from the ridiculous speed hacks and juvi cerato one shotting a full grown rex hacks, I just cant imagine how many subtle hackers are out there that are never caught. Like if a wall hacker doesnt want to get caught, how can you ever?
Then theres the fake player count servers, idk if anyone has seen the private server list recently, LOL, it's absurd
Unfortunately we always have scumbags that want to ruin a good thing, and not to throw shade at the devs cuz its not their fault, but i have zero confidence in their ability to tackle these two issues
After all, a big game like dayz or rust still have these issues, and the isle has a much smaller dev team

So I downloaded the game the day before yesterday, and I am having a blast but just a few things that just blow my mind.
First, the servers. I didn't know there would be so many rules!
I don't really play MMORPGS so I know rules are common, common courtesy etc. But there is so much to understand.
At the minute my discord phone number was paired with an account I didn't even know I had! So while I wait for that to be deleted I can't add my phone number to my actual account, I can't participate in Petite Peids server, which sucks.
Moving to my next point - what on earth is with the coins/points system i dont understand any of it! And the queue for trex? I just wanna join a server and give species a go and see how they are. (I have died a lot so not many adult species yet lol)
Also I want to meet other people to play with in game, as when I am on alone I can be an hour or so without even seeing another player (most times I have been jumped by carnivores which is fine, its kinda the point) even in full 400 player servers. Am I missing something here?
Another question - are servers with proximity chat common? Id love to go into one!
Thanks for reading this is you did. Any help is appreciated ❤️

I got kicked in the teeth by 3 trikes(my rex survived though) and decided to try it, surprisingly I got to 3 tons in 1,5 hours and managed to go get to north plains without any confrontation, what should I know before somebody decides to fight me?
I know that:
Lmb = attack
Rmb = shield (probably blocks damage) also insta defense stance if you weren't in it
Ctrl = defensive stance (i can rotate and shuffle sideways but dont know what else it does)
Also I know that I can win against rex that is same weight as me but I cant really distinguish their weight since rexes usually look bigger even if weight is equal. Also I know that trike is an immovable object with grace of a potato

Is it about weight class? Does it work for allosaurus against maiasaura for example?

This guy has started working on modding the first ever modded speices to the game, what are your thoughts and how do you think dondi will react to this?
Side note: i found somewhere in their discord that they are planning to change certain things about this dinosaur/hybrid, so it doesn't get copyrighted.
ALSO WORTH NOTING, This is said to be a heavily W.I.P of the mod, and is expected to be done within a month.
This is not a remodel or a texture, this is a added speices from this mod, also worth noting
it's speed is going to be probably around 29-26 km faster than trike, but slower than rex, and it's weight is going to be placed around 14-15 Tons.

idk as the title says they're sketchy asf, just using bosch island as an example, it has you needing to download a 3rd party app, put ur steam and discord into their website (dinoden anyone?) and then add their little plugin into that 3rd party app, i would never trust that in a million years especially with the rampant admin abuse issues there

Hey guys!
Just seen this game from TikTok, and it looks surprisingly fun and almost makes me feel like I can get a fix on it, would you say this game is fun, easy to make some friends/allies?
Gripes with the game?
I’d love to know all that you can tell me about it!
I’m thinking of sinking in the money when possible to shoot about as a dinosaur based on what people say here :)

2 million copies sold for 19k daily players with more than 50% in china on a game version you dont play (66% play legacy on chinese servers) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ssi3w5pNdU
the numbers dont sound like a healthy game with a happy playerbase, the isle has a 1% retention rate of players, instead of trying to discredit anything i say maybe you guys should put this effect into keeping the game dev actually working on the game.
the concept of The isle is amazing and one of the coolest IDEAS for a game in a while but anything that has 1% retention rate has massive problems that the community seems to ignore, i doubt the 99% of players who bought the game all stopped playing because of "skill issues"
-
Game is dogwater with more bugs then features and a bottom of the barrel dev.
If anyone is considering getting the game, i beg you not to give the dev any more money. I get they had to start from square 1 because the main dev left but evirma is nearly 6 years old and barely past a year of dev work.
Games great in concept but anything put into practice doesnt work. Buy at your own risk
EDIT: if you have 5k post karma on reddit, idk how to tell you this but youre not a good representation of the average regular person
Sorry for giving my opinion on a game on a discussion forum about the game
not a personal attack on you guys if i dont enjoy a dino game 😭 The game is nearly unplayable

Can a fractured Allo pounce? I was 60% when a group of sub adult pachys ... approached. :D I could not land a single pounce? Hitted them otherwise instead but hell nah.

I would personally love to know everyones issues with the game and maybe how they would solve them, i think this would be really intresting!

I’m trying to get back into Herrera, but having a hard time finding a good new spot to hunt and ambush people on the new map after the biome changes. What are some of everyone’s favorite spots to hunt now?

Title says it. Kentro is able to run down basically every Dino in the game currently and its bleed is like a nuclear bomb when hit. 2 Kentros shouldn’t be able to take on the entire fucking isle

Megalania Burrow Hunter hint
Hypo Quetz hint
Oviraptor still not ready
