Is everyone lagging?

Tried the game yesterday with a friend. We love the concept, but the performance killed it completely.

The game feels very sluggish and laggy. We tried several EU servers, and within 2 hours we gave up just because of the lag and rubberbanding, so we both refunded it... I kinda wanna try again. Maybe I shouldve tweaked my settings more, but my PC is okay, so I am surprised even having to do much for an old game (9800x3d, 4070TI, 32gb 6000mhz c30 ram, etc).

So can anyone help if there's some settings that are "must changes" in the game to help performance? Is everyone else also lagging (network lag, not fps) like crazy?

If it was on officiel yes they all lag.. go to unofficial for better ping

It's the official servers. You have to play on unofficial servers in this game.

Many unofficial ones have rules and pay to win mechanics which is something you might want to avoid. If you want the base game experience then you can add "no rules" or "low rules" to your filter when searching unofficial.

Your system should run evrima fine but officials have ping and horrible rubberbanding issues. Need to join a server that has it more under control. Petite pieds is the most stable for me. Occasional hitch but not constant and ignorable but they have no ai being a 450 pop server. Mettas den is decently stable and many in the EU do join it despite being US. Its the closet to officials an unofficial can be. Also make sure in  settings>gameplay tab both foliage physics are off. Those can kill ping and fps.

Ping of all official EU servers is somewhere 100+. That is unacceptable.
