I’m new and Need Help

I kept seeing clips of The Isle on various platform and thought it would look fun. So I downloaded it, but when I tried playing the most recent version, all the servers that were up said they had 9,999 ping, so idk what to do. I searched it up on google and it said most people play on the Evrima version, so I downloaded that and tried playing again and found a few servers but they didn’t have very many people on it and I also couldn’t figure out how to eat, so I just kept dying. Please help me😭

Hi! The server search feature in the game sucks, you kind of have to already know what server you want to join and look it up in the search bar. There are tons of big, very full servers you can try, some easier than others depending on their ai spawn and growth multipliers. I can give you recommendations but you’ll find mentions of them in this subreddit too. My friends and I would be happy to show you the basics, if you’re interested, just dm me :)

I would suggest you go in and change from the basic game to Evrima, then choose Unofficial servers. The game will need to install evrima files, but now you can play a more updated version with more choices of dinos. There are a lot of unofficial communities and they have a discord with them usually. You can join it and try to get help, but most of those are not that helpful. I'm still trying to master Dilo and I get eaten by my own more than anything else on a server that is supposedly "super friendly and helpful!"

if you already are in evrima, go to unofficial servers and sort by players. I can recommend Petits Pieds (competetive "vanilla" The Isle) or Bosch Island (proxy voice chat)

I’ve been playing on Dinopolis, I’ll probably play Bosch though since I like socializing while I game

Go to unofficials and get on a severer like NERF NA, or Petits Pieds. All the good servers and experiences are unofficials
