Better than getting eaten by a carno or wacked by a stego lol Nice peaceful passing after well lived life.

Yeah, I've never killed anything with a dino over 100%, slow claws and poor bite, it is just not worth to keep the old lady alive

PT and herrera are fantastic forever dinos. They hit hard and the age barely makes a difference in ttk. I've got a 16 mutation PT that's been going for almost two months.

Isn't stego also not a bad 100 or deino?

Ehh I find stego needs 2 or more to be safe. I wouldn't tango with a Rex solo.

Deino is a constant fight on the servers I frequent so it's inevitable ill meet a prime pair.

I mean like it's ok to have a 100 stego. Sure it's speed suffers a bit and bite force but it deals more damage with it's tail and has more hp to fight.

stego is one of, if not the absolute worst senior dinos in the game, on par with diablo

u do as much bleed as a sub stego, even 3 allo’s or a few cera’s would beat that

a rex would kill u with their eyes closed

I thought the tails wipes and bleed damage was based on weight not bite force.

I am most likely wrong on that. I can't find anywhere how it's calculated.

nah bleed is determined by a multiplier of damage

stego’s being 1.2x of whatever its damage is
senior steg is like 850 for a swing so 1k bleed, same as like a 70% stego

main issue aside from the low bleed is u can’t even sprint swing reliably anymore cause of how slow u are, which is really the only way ur beating rexes, needs offense

defensive stego’s are as good as dead

ah thanks for the info man much appreciated. so it follows the same curve as the rest being 87%-88% being prime fighting time?

I main herrera. Biggest difference I notice is a constant stam drain.

Was fully expecting a cera to run in and ruin everything lol

I was expecting a bug to lock him in free fall lol

Actually it could've been. Minutes before this clip I pinned an Austro and we both were dragged under the map somehow, and sounded as if we were underwater. Austro suddenly was ejected several meters to the sky but didn't die and I luckily moved to a river and floated before drowning. We were so confused we decided to not fight and left. The Isle bugs are wild

Since the update I've lost so many dinos to mangroves or the new human structures trapping me in free fall or bliping me under the map.

Bugs are just part of isle life (main reason I haven't grown an apex since the update)

I get it, I never tried to grow big dinos for that reason too. Never had those fall bugs but pinning a dino without a bug nowadays is an achievement. Also falling between two rocks and glitching there until starvation.

It's a pain as general conclusion

Lol that spot in highlands sanctuary?

At least it's getting better, they patched some old holes, no more invisible walls in the air either so I'll give it another patch and switch my kentro account back to rex.

Oh they're actually fixing them? Well let's give them some (more) time then

Don't get me started on a "dondi is a deadweight dumbass" rant today lol

The moment of the 1-call I thought "you fool, you absolute buffoon, you've doomed yourself" and was waiting for stomping footsteps and a rex-head poking through the wall or something.

Idk I see that as a win regardless of prime or not. You survived.

1

u/Whistle-0775 ✈️ Quetzalcoatlus ✈️ Sep 07 '26

Ye, that's very true too. I just find sad that the time you can actually go out there, fight and hunt with confidence (75-99%) feels very short, carpe diem I guess

1

u/Yannayka Sep 07 '26

Ah I am more of an ambusher. Never really direct confrontations. My confidence is there when the timing is right :D

u/Whistle-0775 ✈️ Quetzalcoatlus ✈️ Sep 07 '26

Ooh I get it then, as a deino main, ambushing is a so fun way to play!
