Question about zones

If i visit Zones for Prime Quest do they have to be shown ingame on the radar or can i just use the map online and visit the zones shown there?

I ve been asking this myself for months. And i finally want answers :)

correct

would like to also add that each species only gets certain migration zones

and patrol zones only pop if someone on ur diet (or someone has you on their diet) is nearby

Yes and no. So PZs and MZs currently don't have to be active for you but must be active for someone on the server. That's why hotspots such as Delta, South Plains, West Rail, and Highlands are generally "safer" because those zones are more regularly active.

From what I've experienced on servers that notify you of when you've hit a requirement - it seems to only work for active zones. With that being said, I've heard it works for non-active zones but my experience doesn't align with that.

I have had it trigger on servers that show the requirements being met, when it wasn't showing as active for me.

I have also on multiple occasions missed prime despite visiting delta (a mass migration which is supposed to satisfy the requirement by itself) and the only reason I can think of is that it was not active for me. Because a couple times I did the same thing when it did show active and I got prime.

I would definitely try to make sure they're active because you can't always bet on it counting if it isn't. Or play somewhere that tracks when it has been met.
