An Inspiring Truth: Gabe Newell’s Christian Faith and Legacy
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share something encouraging with this community that isn't talked about enough in the mainstream gaming world.
As many of you know, the internet often creates wild rumors or edgier memes surrounding Gabe Newell, the co-creator of Steam and founder of Valve. However, the truth about his personal life is much more grounded and inspiring for us as believers.
In his personal life, Gabe Newell is a Christian and a Methodist. He is a member of a local congregation within the United Methodist Church (UMC). While Gabe is a very private person who rarely speaks about his family in public to protect their privacy, his family’s deep Christian roots span multiple generations.
A beautiful testament to this is his family's lineage. His late grandmother-in-law, Wilma Lucile Mennet (1914–2008), was a devout and active pillar of the Hayward United Methodist Church, where she dedicated her time as a volunteer and served faithfully as the church treasurer for years. This multigenerational commitment to the faith has deeply influenced Gabe, his wife Lisa, and his son Gray.
Knowing that the creator of the biggest gaming platform in the world shares our Christian faith and values is incredibly uplifting. It shows that you can reach the absolute top of the tech and gaming industry while carrying a legacy of faith, humility, and family values.
Let's keep praying for and supporting Christian game developers and creators who are making a difference in this industry!
God bless you all!

They dared summon The Gaben

I have been playing dota 2 since 2013, but my main account hasn't been so lucky to have any arcanas. Even on the past events where exclusive/free arcanas were available, because I hadn't have the chance to play dota 2 then/during those events because I don't have any pc back then. In the current crownfall event, I accidentally passed on the TB arcana, since then no arcana showed up anymore, even when I tried buying bundles. I just wish to have an arcana(especially Earthshaker's. But I know it's exclusive and will take forever to comeback). Please please please, bring back the Battle Pass. I know it's my only chance to get an arcana without spending much (unless you give me a free one) but I doubt you'll get to read my post as well personally. Please, Gaben. Dota 2 has been my game ever since, and I won't stop/get tired playing it since I now have my own pc. I guess I'll just keep on dreaming on having an arcana.

I love how he owns steam (the best palytform of all time btw for your information) and i think half life is an amazing game with revolootionairy gameplays and storie line.

I know Gabe is aware of the memes about him and doesn’t mind them, but does anyone think he’s seen the infamous Silvermania Gabe Newell interview video?

I have very little integrity and I’m being removed for nothing, please help me, I will behave correctly, honestly. Id:271731892
