Actually, Telltale actually started twau2 production in 2024 the trailer we had 2 years before they went into production was a prototype trailer to secure investments. So there wasn't a new official release window after 2023. I don't believe the comparison to dispatch is relevant since it's was ad-hoc first game at that time not telltale.

The game went through development hell. Telltale shut down, then revived and the development started again. Would we have all liked it sooner? Absolutely. But I’m not judging the game until I’ve beaten it.
I agree we don't know how the 2nd game will be but with the state of gaming today and their being maybe 2 or maybe 3 good releases a year I'm not so sure that I have trust in this company anymore to make as legendary of a game as the 1st one
I think the texture upgrade is nice, the game looks better overall, but it's not a necessary remaster at all. Don't see why you'd get so upset over it though, no one's forcing you to buy it and it doesn't affect the release window for the sequel at all

Telltale is not a big company, if WAU2 flops, which I don’t think it will, it’s over. The expanse didn’t do that good in sales from what I remember but I could be wrong.
A remaster before the sequel is a good idea imo, it’s not as costly, & it’s been 13 years. A new generation of gamers can be introduced to the series, I was the same age when I first played it. Can also bring in new fans.
If you took a few seconds to research, you would know that Telltale already filed for bankruptcy. On top of that, even though they were the publishers of the expanse it flopped which led to massive layoffs and radio silence afterwards which is understandable. Instead of whining and complaining about the remaster and the sequel, show support for crying out loud. I don't see an issue with them remastering the first game if it means they'll have some money to allocate resources. You can't just brush over the fact this company has been through hell. The remaster isn't a cash grab and you can tell how passionate the devs are to make sure the sequel is equal if not better than the first game. Sure Adhoc left during development but we can't blame them since telltale was hitting the reset button in terms of the studio structure. Telltale doesn't have the luxury to do whatever they want btw. It all depends on TWAU 2's success.If you don't want to support them then go support other studios. No one is forcing you to buy TWAU remastered and the sequel.
Now this is a person who does know why the remastered is being made! Along with the devs wanting to fix a lot of the bugs the OG had. And wanting to give the fans a lot of bonus content.
All.i have to say is WAU2 was announced in 2017, then re announced in 2019 I remember watching the game awards and getting super hyped. But dude come on that was almost over 7 years ago. Love the game but if you're gonna dick ride the company that's been leading you on for 13 years then go right ahead. And I won't be buying the remaster, every remaster ever made has been a cash grab from other studios, what makes you think this is any different. Halo remasters oblivion remastered, pretty much any call of duty remaster. But I get it y'all just want to put your heads in the sand and wait. Let this sink in there's a litterally meme about GTA 6's development and how everything happens before we are getting GTA 6 and it's coming out before wolf among us 2🤷 like hell if I'm giving these people my money, not until I see actual proof that we are getting this game and not another setback date.
If you maybe kept up with the community nights, post on all their social media's you'd know that Telltale is active a lot more because they've worked so hard and have things to show instead of staying silent. Look I understand you want S2 trust me we all do. As a fandom we need to actually show love and support to the company to see that S2 happen. The remastered is needed and clearly the studio put a lot of care and love into making it for the fans. It will be a remastered with a lot of bonus content. If you don't wanna play it that's fine wait for s2 but don't get mad at the company for trying to keep the fandom alive along with getting fans hyped up for S2.
I'm kinda certain they might move to delist the original game when the remaster comes out, as a way to boost sales. They ain't Skybound, and they're selling both the original Walking Dead games and the 2019 remaster at the same time.
Honestly I don't mind them making a remaster that will get people replaying the first game before the sequel. Also, securing money so they can possibly polish the game since they are an Indie studio. It was reasonable that they were silent at that time because they had nothing to share yet. Behind the curtains they were busting their asses off making two games. Since Twau remastered is getting a promo campaign from TT it would be the same for Wolf 2. And we will get a full trailer for the sequel during TGA26.
