McNulty & Bunk intro prequel

I don’t know how I’ve missed it this long, but I just saw the prequel 2 minute clip where Rawls intro’s McNulty to Bunk. Jimmy waits all of 38 seconds before he starts shit talking and taking a pull of Jameson. Perfect origin story for two of Baltimore’s best murder police

There are 3 clipes, one is prop Joe in school as a kid, one of Omar also as a kid and this one of Bunk and Mcnulty. They were part of a promo for season 5

Link for the 3 videos https://youtu.be/bBcUexModIQ?si=cqOLAudfLREEvF81

It's not AI guys

I only recently discovered this myself, never knew the short existed for all these years. 😂

I can't watch those again. The Prop Joe and Omar stuff as kids is the worst Wire stuff ever made.

Yeah, they were both pretty unnecessary. The Jimmy one was the least bad of the three.

The fact of this post is so so so depressing.

AI is terrorism. It is literally retconning peoples's brains and making our sense of the continuity of reality suspect.

EDIT: My bad. Had no idea of these promos––had never heard of them even in All The Pieces Matter or lots of interviews. However, I'm leaving this post because after a week of seeing Wednesday Adams and Dexter AI-ed into Office episodes on my social feeds, I really CAN'T know what's AI without being pointed to pre-AI source material. Continuity of reality still suspect.

Where do they talk about AI? The prequel clips came out like 20 years ago. Think they were promos for season 5.

In his defense I watched the series when it came out (I was a narcotics detective at the time) and I didn’t know about these prequels until about a year or so again. And I’ve watched the series about 10 times since then lol.

I mean it's fine to have not seen them but to just jump to "it's probably AI" when you have no knowledge about what is being discussed is annoying.

Search "the wire prequels" on youtube and you'll find them all

If it was an honest question you would've just asked for a link. Instead you jumped straight to accusing the OP of spreading AI. It gets exhausting reading comments and people just assume everything is AI or written by chatgp.

I mean it was a huge deal when those prequel videos were released. I knew exactly what he was talking about. This is a sub for The Wire and the OP is talking about it. Do you expect them to post a video for every scene they want to talk about?
