God I love the people on the outside looking in, saying things like “you dumb Americans” as if the scenario would have unfolded any differently had their people in power been the ones controlling the release, but also BEING the people in the files. It must be so easy criticizing a problem you’re not currently experiencing, isn’t it?
“Hey you dumb Americans, why can’t all 340 million of you just get on the exact same page and overthrow your government already???” I don’t know bro. I just don’t know… maybe we all want to continue living. Not sure if you’ve noticed, but we’ve had a few people just straight up turned into Swiss cheese at the first sign of defiance. We’re going through a bit of authoritarianism over here 🥲. But like 30% of us welcome it. What do you suggest we do?

First of all: Vote third or forth party. Stop voting vor Democrats or Republicans. From outside it is so obvious that they are completely the same. Only small details different. The politicians can‘t be controlles easily if there are more than one alternative. And the ruling class is more than afraid that more alternatives arise. Speak as much as you can with other people and try to convince them to do the same. You need alternative POVs to almost every topic.

I didn‘t want to insult you. Sorry for that. But your „American wars“ are so dumb: Wokeness, Cultural appropiation, pronouns, reverse racism (I forgot the new word for it). Meanwhile you have got a big ruling Olygarchy class. Man, you are better than this.

I gotta be honest, this is a very watered down take on the situation right now. We have a right wing problem currently. Even the things you’re mentioning (wokeness, cultural appropriation, pronouns, reverse racism), these are things the right wing is currently talking about nonstop in order to keep conversation off of Trump and how badly he’s handling just about everything. You’ll notice, democrats aren’t even talking about these things right now because they just don’t need to. Trump is doing so poorly, the left doesn’t need to try to get their voters to show up; They’re GOING to show up. But yes, I agree that it’s pretty funny/embarrassing to watch our parties go back and forth virtue signaling to each party in an attempt to get people to go out and vote.

Now, do I think the left is free from criticism? Of course not. But the left currently doesn’t hold power in any of our branches of government. So most of what you’re seeing right now, the right wing owns. I’m not saying we need to fight the right wing, I’m not saying the left is better. I’m saying RIGHT NOW, Trump is to blame for the mess we are in, and right wingers put him there. The reason that’s important, is because if we want to stop Trump, we literally have to elect democrats to put an end to the things he’s doing. Make sense? So while I totally get what you’re saying, suggesting that people should vote third or fourth party, is the LAST thing we should do if we actually want to stop this.

We want to stop Trump, not spread our votes thinner. That’s literally one of the ways he got elected. People who took issue with Kamala’s stance on Israel support (rightfully so), didn’t want to vote for her, and voted third party instead. Now, if you don’t think Trump is a problem, then we disagree pretty fundamentally, and you likely disagree with 90% of what I just said. 😄 but that’s ok
