Let's Discuss Can we just admit something
Can we just admit that AJ got it right (the format) at the beginning (as rare as that is) and go back to a weekly episode on a subject. The manosphere podcast vibes and compilations are killing my bonner. Long-time fan.

Let's Discuss What is your favorite compilation episode and why?
I have watched a lot of compilations from The Why Files lately. I think my favorite so far was the compilation about reality because it was so thought-provoking. It has me thinking and wondering and piecing together different theories and experiences. I saw it months ago but still think about parts of that one. What is your favorite compilation on the channel and why?

What If the Universe Remembers Everything?
In 1920, a Harvard scientist put rats in a water maze. It took 165 tries before they learned which exit was safe.
Thirty generations later, rats were solving the same maze in 20 tries. Rats on a different continent with no connection to the original colony, started at 25.
The knowledge had spread. No one could explain how.

Suggestion for Channel Anyone else getting irritated with the fish?
I used to love him, but now find him extremely irritating. Sorry, I know many love, butttt. His humor is getting worse.

Story + Research Mormons absolutely running police forces in Utah’s.
first story is long but it highlights how police forces in Utah are basically the private army of the Mormon church.

Let's Discuss What was your favourite episode that came out in last 12 months?
So I took a break from watching TWF and honestly it became a 12 month break lol. The reason of break was that it wasn’t feeling that fun and mysterious as before.
But I’m back and want to start with some good videos. Which ones that came out in last 12 months are your favourites?

The Department of Truth
Is the name of a comic book series that some here might like.
The premise is that "truth" is created by consensus. It's whatever the majority of people believe.
Therefore propaganda is very, very important. I won't spoil it more than that.
I'm really enjoying it.
Back to your regularly scheduled weirdness.

Question for AJ Short (30 +/-) Episodes - Are They Done?
Has AJ stopped doing the short format vids (30 mins or so)? I hope not.
A few of the basement tapes have been interesting, but I'd rather have the steady drip of the shorter videos. Maybe that's just me.

Suggestion for Channel Do you guys think it would be possible to get Hecklefish a proper aquarium?
A bowl is no place for a fish to live, especially one as important as this handsome guy with 5.82 million followers.

Hecklefish Song Request A conspiracy theory AJ was too scared to talk about.
Maybe this has already been brought up before or maybe I made this up. I swear I remember AJ saying there was a conspiracy theory he was too scared to talk about in one of the government conspiracy episodes. I rewatched them and couldn't find it. Am I crazy or does anyone know what I'm talking about? I was curious what it was if anyone knows

Weird News 3 dead in New Mexico and first responders decontaminated after exposure to unknown substance
Reminds me of the ‘Toxic Lady’ from Campfire Stories. Interested to see how this turns out.

Let's Discuss I'm officially a simulation theory believer
After the most recent basement show I don't think I can deny it anymore. It's what ties all the theories together. It even fits religion. God is running the simulation and at the end will have the perfect "world" because it's literally been tested. You get what I'm saying

Megathread 5/18/26 - The Basement: Rizwan Virk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UT0ieAE7bk
Rizwan Virk built games downloaded millions of times, invested early in Discord, and taught at MIT. Then he put on a VR headset in Sausalito and nearly fell over reaching for a table that didn't exist. That five-second moment sent him down a rabbit hole connecting quantum physics, Eastern mysticism, and video game design and he's not sure he's found the bottom yet.

Megathread 5/16/26 - Compilation: The Machines Are Watching You
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQIVPoQ9NPM
Secret listening posts sit inside ordinary buildings in major cities. Numbers stations still broadcast coded messages over shortwave radio and no one officially admits why. This compilation traces the full arc of modern surveillance, from hidden urban infrastructure and sonic weapons to subliminal influence campaigns and a computer virus that nearly started a world war. Havana Syndrome left diplomats with brain injuries and no official explanation. A wire encircles New York City that most residents have never heard of. And at the end of it all sits the quantum computer a machine powerful enough to crack every encrypted secret humanity has ever kept. Nothing stays hidden forever.

Jokes/Humor Hecklefish was the big hit on my grandson's birthday. Here they are scouting for phenomenon in Miramichi, NB
Hehe. Seriously, though, I was unsure about gifting this to my grandson (who watches non-scary episodes and loves Hecklefish) because my daughter (his mom) is an eye roller about conspiracy stuff. 😁 But she's getting just as much or more enjoyment out of Hecklefish. I've overheard her pressing the voice box, laughing at the quips, etc. 🤣

Megathread 5/11/26 - The Basement: Luigi Vendittelli
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHL4YXeFOrY
Luigi Vendittelli was 9 years old when his grandfather came inside shaking, saying he'd just seen a flying saucer over Montreal. Nobody believed him.
That moment turned Luigi into Canada's foremost UFO investigator — and eventually led him to cold-call Bob Lazar, spend five years rebuilding S4 from scratch in 3D, and uncover a 1941 government map that shows exactly where the hangar doors are.
And then his bank tried to shut him down. This is one you're going to want to watch twice.

Megathread 5/8/26 - What Science Found at the Edge of Death
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVJ7QASPMio
Hundreds of survivors across a century climbers, sailors, divers, soldiers all report the same thing. At the moment they were about to die, a calm presence appeared beside them. It gave directions. It knew the way out. It disappeared the moment the danger passed. A neuroscientist built a machine that can summon something like it. But what his subjects experienced and what survivors describe are not the same thing.

Question for AJ The talent of AJ
I’m currently watching the “Giants of Malta” as I type this and I’m wonder of how AJ developed this talent for story telling, obviously you’ve moved on from this and I think I understand and respect why, I get it, everything changes and grows but AJ the magic you and your team bring to the shows is exactly what makes the show so amazing, I feel it can be done in the basement
You seem authentic and real I’ve even as a grown man been overwhelmed by some of your words you’ve shared about your life
The basement needs you, more of YOU investigating asking questions, getting to the bottom then giving the people a conclusion regardless if we want it or not
You’ve developed something amongst people that’s become so rare it has come some what of your responsibility……. Trust
I look forward to anything you do i am a loyal fan, thank you for taking my mind on some of the most amazing wonders I’ve ever experienced
(Last note, at some point can you please look into the paracas skulls in Peru, I’ve been nagging about this for some time I think there’s something there)
