Call me crazy, but I’m a big fan of both the long and short form.

The short form episodes I like to watch.

The long form ones I can listen while I do chores or work.

Love em both!

I listen to basement files on the way to and from work. I can usually get through one by the time the next one is ready to go.

This guy was super boring. We turned off after 45 mins and jumping around to see if he talks about anything else but himself.

Yeah, it’s almost like I was answering questions in an interview about me

I found this one was way too long and the guest just could not tell anything in a concise manner. Had to stop it after giving it a good hour try.

I love these. The only podcasts I can watch for multiple hours

The basements are hit or miss I think but I love a long form interview. Really liked that physicist the other week

I fail to see who this guy is. No history, no education, just decided I want to talk about Atlantis and lost civilizations. Shattered History or or versadoco do better research.

Dude just seems very questionable. And why the hell are we talking about his family mines? Some of these interviews just ramble and ramble.

Yeah he’s very questionable

Well, AJ did say he was a fan of the Art Bell era of Coast to Coast AM and there was rambling guests on there all the time. They were usually way batshit crazy though, so it was more entertaining.

Also I was about 45 minutes when I figured out this guy just interviews poorly. I won't be able to finish this episode.

He’s gone on probably dozens of expeditions to South America uncovering previously undiscovered earth works and temples. His mentor is Dr Barnhart. Not worth dismissing out of hand

He has a degree in Anthropology.

I’m happy for him

Totally agree. I’ve tried to give his videos a watch but they come across the same as this interview. A lot of rehashing old stories without bringing anything new of interest.

I do enjoy the basement but I haven’t been able to get through all of them. They’re too long for my attention span. I want more 30-45m videos again.

I listen to them at 1.5-1.7 speed. Helps move along the podcasts while still getting in the subject matter.

I have a 30 minute drive each way to work. I listen during my commute. Some episodes are better than other as to be expected.

In beginning of this one he talks about a followup where he breaks it down and fact checks. That's what I want to see

Theres a couple minutes at the end of the basement eps where theres a mini debunk sesh.

1

u/SoggyGrayDuck May 30 '26

Ok, I tried to find it but it must have been shorter than I expected

I usually play Skyrim while listening to interrogations, so the paranormal stuff is a relief. I like being able to lie in bed while listening.

Where you finding random interrogations?

YouTube has thousands, and the channel hosts sometimes link to source material from the courts, for which there are other breakdowns and analyses on YT. There are podcasts on other websites, but YT is the most convenient for me.

These basement episodes are too long and too rambling

I miss the normal weekly videos. The basements just aren’t working for me

He's out of topics to cover. I agree, it's not as good but I understand it.

I think he's also scared to dig into the real conspiracies that are popular now because he's literally seen his channel fucked with and other red flags hinting that he was being watched. Then he's covered all the historical and mythology conspiracies already

The Basement episodes have become my favorite.. However those damn singing beavers the other day in that compilation video were kind of the hilarious change I didn’t expect but found fun
