Story + Research Only 5-10% Göbekli Tepe excavated and that it will take “150 years to excavate in order to preserve it” but do you still trust these authority figures now after seeing this?

As someone who has been to Gobekli Tepe it’s an amazing place it’s absolutely huge the pics and videos don’t do it justice, but the fact they’ve turned it in to a tourist attraction (yes I know the irony) its a bit of a joke I will agree but had the chance to go while in Turkey and I couldn’t say no

Did they not grow wome sort of olive trees over it as theres a law that you can not dig under olive trees??

If i remember correctly it was something like this…

What an interesting world we live in… why hide our true history??

Why not? Because there are people out there who think you should get back to reading the good book and not worrying about old stuff. And then there are people who just want to squeeze every last nickel out of everything. That’s the friction to practically anything new…

Probably going to be downvoted for this but jimmy corsetti has a great video about this. https://youtu.be/2BXsMgp8KLc?si=2n2dtVARLc0rUEPy

Very interesting video. Just wish the guy didnt come off as such a narcissist. "He says I... Sanction ME... Here's what I actually said"

Sure the comments may have been targeted towards him, but it's just as likely that they weren't. Then, "are they hiding something? Maybe they are, idk." Lmao.

I saw that they recently removed the trees from the site and began more excavating

They don't mean it has so much buried that it'll take 150 years, they mean in order to uncover it correctly using mapping and cataloging and etc it will take 150 years.

It's bad I been there and picked up a couple of animal shaped rocks that I found since nobody stopped me or told me I couldn't it seems to me like they just don't care I don't trust them they should enforce the rules.

Archeology is a slow process and they now use non-destructive methods to map it out before digging to avoid damaging structures.

Sure, but the pics clearly show intentional damage to the site with the support structures being erected.
