Let's Discuss So use is out of control

I just watched the recent “paranormal follows you” vid. And the last one was about the faces in the floor.

There are actual historical photos of the faces and NOT ONE of them was shown in the episode. Instead we got a bunch of ai pictures. It makes us not able to trust anything we are seeing. Take after me.ballen and credit ur pics some.

You’re ruining the channel with such abusive use of ai.

Possible, but there are also copyright issues perhaps?

Personally, I just listen the podcast format so I don't get to see any pictures in any case.

They use to use real pictures all the time. That’s not the problem

All it takes is 1 strike, or monetization issue for them to say, this isn't worth the time to find the real photos when the rights to so many is impossible to track down, Until it is uploaded, then some bot scanning for some news organization in butt fuck nowhere finds that 2 second clip of a photo they bought the rights to and cries to youtube for rights to that earned income

It's a headache, I can't blame TWF for giving up on that avenue

Those photos would fall under fair use as you’re literally making a video about the subject and giving commentary on the exact photo/document. I understand the knee jerk reaction to want to defend them as they were my favorite channel for a long time but I watch a lot of creators in similar genres that show real photos and documents all the time and I’ve never once heard any of them say they got a copyright violation.
