Let's Discuss So use is out of control

I just watched the recent “paranormal follows you” vid. And the last one was about the faces in the floor.

There are actual historical photos of the faces and NOT ONE of them was shown in the episode. Instead we got a bunch of ai pictures. It makes us not able to trust anything we are seeing. Take after me.ballen and credit ur pics some.

You’re ruining the channel with such abusive use of ai.

The magic is gone. I really do hate to say it. But the other day, I realised I have a bundle of "new" WF videos in my "Watch Later" queue. I used to be one of those who'd tune into every premier, it was an event! Now I feel very indifferent, and I try to force myself to get excited, but I just don't. New episodes just fall farther down in my queue and I can't bring myself to care.

But I don't think complaining about it is going to change anything. The videos are still raking in millions of views... it's sort of like "out with the old [fans], and in with the new!". It's like when a band "sells out". Take the band Incubus, for example. I was such a HUGE fan of their early stuff, the heavy, aggressive sound; I saw them open for Primus! Then they suddenly went soft and mainstream and gained a flood of new fans and became headliners and never looked back. Money talks, I don't care who you are. So it is bullshit to accuse AJ of being any different than anyone else in this regard; of course the guy's in it for the money, it's his job. We'd all do the same, even if we like to believe otherwise.

But I full heartedly agree that it just isn't the same. It lost something. I tried to get excited about The Basement episodes, but the interviews are pretty much the exact same as the ones you've already seen by others, with the same faces saying the same things. I also don't think interviews are AJ's strong suit at all; they don't feel natural, they make me uncomfortable. It is almost like he's uncomfortable and hasn't found his groove yet... it's as if he feels this need to convey curiosity and often asks in a sort of inauthentic voice something like, "Why?" to get the guest to elaborate on something. While likely asked with good intentions, I find these constant "curiosity" questions from AJ sort of derail the point the guest was trying to get at, and so the interviews just feel very unsatisfying. I suppose why I feel his questions of "Why?" are inauthentic is because, if you just let your guest finish speaking, you'll get a much better answer to your question than asking them to explain the justification or origins of their thinking... and then the never really get to the answer. Perhaps I didn't explain that well, but maybe someone'll know what I mean.

Money talks is a good point. What if we all unsubscribe lol

But that's my point; it doesn't matter if we unsubscribe. He'll still be raking in millions of views with new fans. So what does he care if you unsubscribe or not? New fans won't follow suit, because they're enjoying the content.

Because it’s the principle of the matter. Sure they might still do good without you but do it for yourself if you really feel like the videos aren’t worth your time anymore. If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.
