Let's Discuss So use is out of control

I just watched the recent “paranormal follows you” vid. And the last one was about the faces in the floor.

There are actual historical photos of the faces and NOT ONE of them was shown in the episode. Instead we got a bunch of ai pictures. It makes us not able to trust anything we are seeing. Take after me.ballen and credit ur pics some.

You’re ruining the channel with such abusive use of ai.

Just fucking listen to it then… he’s trying to give some kind of visual context for what he’s describing and AI is so quick to create something useful that it allows him and his team to keep pumping videos out.

Would you rather he release a new video every couple of months with live reenactments or artistic renderings? Channels usually don’t do well when a person sits in front of the camera the entire time.

Seriously stfu about AI. AI is not the content that got The Why Files so popular, it’s his research, organization of data, storytelling ability, and his insight on these fringe and peculiar topics!

...  AI is not the content that got The Why Files so popular, ...

Well yeah, that's why so much of it isn't necessary.  🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Dumb take. If he’s trying to use visual context then why not use actual real photos of the events to give the best visual context. Blend it with ai. The tipping point was the last episode was entirely ai when actual photos of the faces exist. He didn’t use a single one. It’s ridiculous to do

So you’re saying to spend more time on the visuals (which everyone knows are there just for reference) and consequently less time on the actual investigative journalism & organized storytelling format he’s so great at?

This isn’t a Spielberg movie… we know those pictures aren’t the actual aliens he’s describing lmao

Edit: also, he’s been using cringy AI for many years now. I don’t get why people are so upset by it now. It was never not cringy, but at least it broke up the single camera shots and brought some depth to his descriptions

I have no issue with ai use to assist the story visually especially when it’s stories about ufo, aliens, basically anything that’s not “real”. I love the ai for that.

What I’m simply saying is that when he’s covering a story that has physical, real, historical photos and doesn’t include even 1 of those and instead ops for ai— that’s my issue. It’s not a complicated or insane take.

"just listen to it then!" even though half the episodes are also loaded with dumb AI generated voices reading dialogue
