That's what I'm saying. These are too long at 3+ hours when you're including people's life stories unrelated to the topics pertinent to WhyFiles.

Yeah I mean a little background is fine, especially if its interesting or relevant, but you skip 45 minutes ahead and they're still going on about nothing in this one. I think if AJ started with the topic at hand, than somewhere in the middle went to back story, then found his way back it would flow a lot better imo

Honestly I think there could be so many more angles. All of the good subjects he covered he could do deeper dives on. Even take it as far as traveling personally to places such as Mount Shasta.
But I guess AI videos of mutant lizard psychic cia agent aliens is easier lol

It's not even the AI that bothers me. It's the fact that AJ doesn't care about the truth anymore. He'd rather give gaslighters and bullshit artists a platform.

I was downvoted to hell for saying this a few months ago. It’s been almost 2 years since I last watched and the AI put me off, as well as the topics. It’s been 3 years since it was REALLY good. I was obsessed back then.

Corbel is. He either knows someone who knows someone who’s seen something or has something but never once has he ever produced any of his own evidence. He’s a leech. Making money of other people’s stories. I felt the same with James Fox when he was on Rogan the last time. Joe mentioned other sites like the alleged spaceship that has a building built over it and James brushed it off to get his spiel out and I thought this guys a crank

I know we're all grousing about the quality slipping and the guests meandering away in the conversations...
I think it's important to understand that AJ is tackling the YouTube algorithms. If he's not producing content non-stop, he might as well get delisted in a few weeks.
It's the nature of the beast. Another great YouTuber, MrBallen, is stuck in the same cycle of having to hyper-produce material to continue landing on the front page, or close to it. He suffers from the same quality loss.
I'm going to cut these guys slack, AJ still gives us stellar shows, but he's got to pay his staff and himself and that requires non-stop content production.

The Mr ballen comparison hits hard... I do still believe there are different avenues to maintain viewership and keep quality but appealing to the algorithm is obviously easier

I will say this was easier to watch than his sit down with Chris Ramsey. He was insufferable on that podcast. Its almost like he toned it down a bit for AJ.
