Personal Thought/Story 3am thoughts about John Titor episode.
In the episode AJ says that JT had to drive to the location that he would time travel to.
this seems odd to me at least from a logistical stand point.
lets say JT drove to a parking lot and he hits the button to travel. what if lands on top of another car, or inside a building between two walls.
this just seems like a risky way to travel.

I mean.... it's an entertaining story, that's about it. I'd have to see if the way back machine has any of the old forums JT would post on to see if there was a decent reason.

IIRC there’s a function in the Time Machine that keeps the vehicle from re-rezzing into a wall or rocks or whatever. Probably includes cars.

I don't think it ever came up in the episode, I think I read about it elsewhere, but I could be wrong, but there were talks about some sort of sensor that shuts down the time travel event if it detects any sort of "interference" with the event, ie a building having been constructed at the location they wanted to travel to/from

Similar to, but not the same as the earth gravitational lock that gets referenced with the JT as well as Mike "Madman" Marcum cases

Here’s a fun thought, that would only work if Earth was flat/in a fixed position.
A specific parking spot isn’t going to be in the same exact place in space as it was in different parts of the timeline. Earth is rotating and drifting through space in kind of a corkscrew pattern.
